Don’t you have to be good at something to become “washed up”?

Imagine being that obviously and \publicly jealous of your own brother. Imagine having shad as a brother just so much to unpack there.

"I fear ink smudges" SKILL ISSUE

KeEn EyE fOr PrOpOrTiOn my ass

9:55  not only that, but he thinks he’s AS GOOD AS Jazza! He’s not terrible, but he’s nowhere near Jazza’s obvious professional edge. Delusional for three points is what he really deserves.

Shad might be soon facing his most fearsome foe yet.
A job application.

Shad thinks everything he has an interest in he's an expert at. He'll never become actually good at anything because his ego won't allow him to realize he has space to improve.

Brooo jazza being related to shadiversity is genuinely crazy, like I’m an artist and I used to love jazza, I still do even if I don’t watch him as often

Him decrying smudges and saying AI helps make “the best art” makes it seem like he wants to “win” at art. Those smudges and little mistakes are what gives art character. Art isn’t an exercise in perfection, nor should it be.

I think the thing I hate most is that Shad cannot be wrong. Even when one of his co-hosts on his own show lay out clearly how he's wrong about something, he always has some justification which makes him still right. If you'd listen to Shad, he has argued that he knows better than an artist, a builder, a swordsman, a historian, and a material scientist in their own fields.

My heart bleeds for Jazza everytime i'm reminded that he has to be brothers with shad.
Let's just remind everyone that Jazza is someone that almost had a nervous breakdown after launching a charity event, because he didn't feel worthy of all the love und support he was getting.

Shad came across the dunning kruger effect and chose the first hill he saw to be the one to die on.

“fear of ink smudges”

laughs in left-handed
on a serious note, if theres one thing i learned in art school, it’s embracing being the mess. like at some point i stopped being too much of a perfectionist and actually enjoy making messy sketches. hell i didnt start using coloring materials until a year ago

Calling yourself an artist for using image generation is like calling yourself a chef for ordering a pizza. Sure, you've got a pizza, but you got it from the effort and expertise of multiple other people (the ones creating the recipe, assembling the pizza, delivering it, etc.). But at least with the pizza, the people making it are getting paid.

How does Shad somehow still have the taste of a high schooler who just got a copy of How to Draw Manga?

The way he describes it, the tone if voice, his pacing. It's ironic how he sounds exactly like an Ai promted to describe drawing, almost like he's trying to emulate them.

I cannot imagine telling my younger sibling that because my hobby singing got 1 point, their stage singing should also get a 1.

If Shad wants to promote the superiority of AI art, he should at least cherry pick pieces that can't immediately be dismissed as soulless AI slop (such as his now infamous Studio Ghibli example)

I had no idea that shad and jazza were related. Plus, as an artist, jazza is hard to keep up with. He's good. In fact, i think I learned the fundamenals of drawing from his channel years ago.

Get ready for a 6 hour response on Knights Watch, haha.
