An off-duty British pilot helped to rescue a plane after a pilot stabbed his colleague in the cockpit and tried to crash the aircraft en route to Israel, a passenger has said.
Passengers and crew subdued the alleged attacker as the FlyDubai plane dropped from 33,000 feet to 17,000 feet (10,000 metres to 5,100 metres) in about a minute.
The aircraft, travelling from the United Arab Emirates to Tel Aviv carrying dozens of passengers, was forced to make an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia.
One passenger, Almog Itali, has told media that one of the off-duty pilots onboard who stabilised the plane was British.

The British media can't bring themself to say the hero was an Indian pilot.....
If the captain whilst under attack from the terrorist had not managed to open the cockpit door and get passengers to help ....the situation would have been another 9/11.....
He fought off the other that was stabbing at him,, and althiugh injured managed to open the sealed cabin, allowing escaoe and others to enter. With help from passengers they disarmed the attacker together. He was seriously injured.
The two reserve pilots were on the flight (for the return trip) they then took over the plane and bought it into the airport in Saudi Arabia. One of them according to another passenger being British.
So now you have it. The hero attacked Pilot was Hindu .Indian. And two others bought the plane into land.
Stop all this hate. Pilots and folks just want to live, work and relax together.
This is one planet, only together can we save it!
