Hello, my name is Aaron, I am 22, Baptist, from Indiana. (Western extension of Ohio)

I don't believe I have ever commented on one of your videos before, but I have been watching your videos for about two or three years, I believe now.

Your channel has grown so much and I have always enjoyed watching your content. I could never memorize the amount of information you seem to have so readily available at the drop of a hat.

You always give credit to the original creators of the content you review, encourage others to view their content from their channel first, and you even wait to do a reaction so the original creator doesn't lose viewers. You are a genuine, honest man and I respect you for that and everything else you do.

I have always enjoyed learning about history and you have helped me find subjects I may have never searched for or found out about myself. You are also the reason I have become more interested and informed about the Civil War and WW1.

Keep up the good work, Chris. Love from Indiana.

P.S.
All Quiet in the Trenches episode 4 please! :_CaesarUp:

I have a huge soft spot for McKinnley as a Puerto Rican.  None of us would be here if we didn't snag the island in 1903 and make them all citizens in 1910.  My dad used to flex on prejudiced Italians & such by pointing out we've been citizens since before many of them even came here in the 1900s, 10s and 20s.

Shelby Foote's "The Civil War: A Narrative" does a great job describing Grant's determination and attempts to capture Vicksburg. Just amazing what he did, even trying to reroute a river.

Thanks for these compilations.  They're perfect for the earbud at work, almost exactly the length between breaks.

I’d love to see VTH do a reaction to the video ‘know your allies: Britain’. It’s an informational video made by the war department to educate their troops on who they’re fighting with and against and it’s a really interesting insight into how 40’s America viewed Britain and in some ways how little Britain has changed.

Two of my favorite channels playing at once. What an awesome video.

Because of your videos and insight, I’ve been reading Grant’s memoirs. Incredible incredible stuff

Grant and John Brown both lived in northern New York at the same time, 1848-1849. Grant was stationed Madison Barracks in Sackets Harbor while Brown was farming land in North Elba.

Connecticut subscriber here! Did not know there was so much Connecticut connection in Ohio. Cool :)

Awesome compilation. Thanks for all the hard work

11:43 Chris, you gotta do a video on Polk.

Ron Chernow's biographies of Hamilton, Washington and Grant are fantastic. Edmund Morris's 3 volume story of Teddy Roosevelt is also excellent.  Read Caro on LBJ and Goodwin on FDR and Lincoln and you pretty much cover the essential American character.

The section at 3:03:43 is muted up until the Interstate Highway System is mentioned and you start talking about it.

I am presently reading Grant's memoirs it is a great book for learning who Ulysses S Grant was.

There is a difference between a Progressive of the past and one of today. Definitions change and not for the good.

Love the repost. Helps me refresh!

I just want to say I love these big compilations as I usually will have you up on the side, listening along as I'm doing other things- the convenience of a large collection of related materials in one place is quite nice.

well today will probably go down in history for a long while, interested to hear your thoughts and perspective

This was a three hour masterpiece.

Grant 02:07
McKinley 01:05:12
