⚠ 𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗔𝗡 𝗔𝗗 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗜𝗗𝗗𝗟𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗩𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗢?

If so, I'm sorry that happened. I know it's awful to be startled by an ad. I have mid-roll ads disabled on all of my content, but YouTube has a confirmed issue that causes them to play for some viewers anyway. This has been happening across YouTube since at least mid-2022, and unfortunately, it still has not been fixed.

The problem often appears as a 30-second ad around the 6-hour mark and disproportionately affects iPhone and iPad users. I've investigated it extensively and explain what I've found here: https://youtu.be/ndeUVgZMh1Y

If you feel misled by the title stating "no mid-roll ads," please know that the vast majority of viewers are able to watch without interruption. I would never intentionally put a mid-roll ad in content people use to focus, relax, and sleep.

Once it became clear that this problem was not going away, I spent a year developing a free app called Easy Ambience. It lets you build your own ambient soundscapes using noise, recorded sounds, waveforms, and effects, without ads interrupting the audio. Easy Ambience is available for iOS and Android at https://www.easyambience.app/.

You can also check this video's description for other ways to listen. Odysee is an ad-free option, and live stream versions of many of my most popular sounds are available on YouTube as well.

You're welcome to reply with details about what happened to you, but I already have a pretty solid understanding of the issue. Hostile comments directed at me over ads I did not insert will be removed.

I appreciate your patience and understanding. I wish YouTube would fix the underlying problem, but Easy Ambience is my attempt to give you an option where I have control over the listening experience.

I’m saying this as a woman: I’ve learned different sounds help block ambient male versus female voices when you’re trying to read/concentrate. Brown was my go-to but the female voices kept piercing right through. I found this and it seems to be doing the trick in blocking the higher, excitable tones.

I have some insane insomnia from stress and this is the only thing i have found that gets me to sleep, thank you!!!

Use this every night. Something about the Pink noise. Much better than the white/brown/green/ whatever else. Love it. Thank you.

Thank you, now i can sleep peacefully 🤍🤍

I fall asleep to this every night and I LOVE it - thank you!! Also, I’ve never had a mid-roll ad.

Best pink noise ever with light rain..... Woow what a combo mann❤❤😊

OMG, It's really helps with overloading

ahh omg!! so excited to listen to this tonight youre a real angel thank you for this

I've tried all kinds of colors to help sleep...but none worked...until I came across this specific video and discovered pink noise existed. Funny thing is that pink is also my favorite color. (other than red and black)but this video was the first time I heard of pink noise and when I tried, it worked like a charm. Thank you for this. ❤❤❤

Now I can sleep peacefully 🤍

Thank you for this content. I play this every night for my baby and I when we sleep. I play it when he takes his naps too. It has been a tremendous challenge to get him to sleep for longer periods of time, but this has made a difference. I'm blessed to get even 2 hours of uninterrupted sleep now. Thank you for your help 🥺🫶🏻 this is so impactful for some of us.

Dj Grossman thank you for ending my sleepless nights ❤

Omg pink and rain. This is excellent.

Thanks for sharing ! It helped me fall asleep, and I had a nice dream, at the end I was in the shower. I have dealt with tinnitus in the past but now I feel better. It is often linked to excessive teeth grinding. I think research should be done with cannabis : it can increase the symptoms if used only once but over a long period of time it can relax the jaw muscle and relieve some of that tension. Good luck :thanksdoc:

Thank for helping me with my tinnitus.  ❤

I use this noise to go to sleep. Very helpful. Thank you.
