If so, I'm sorry that happened. I know it's awful to be startled by an ad. I have mid-roll ads disabled on all of my content, but YouTube has a confirmed issue that causes them to play for some viewers anyway. This has been happening across YouTube since at least mid-2022, and unfortunately, it still has not been fixed.

The problem often appears as a 30-second ad around the 6-hour mark and disproportionately affects iPhone and iPad users. I've investigated it extensively and explain what I've found here: https://youtu.be/ndeUVgZMh1Y

If you feel misled by the title stating "no mid-roll ads," please know that the vast majority of viewers are able to watch without interruption. I would never intentionally put a mid-roll ad in content people use to focus, relax, and sleep.

Once it became clear that this problem was not going away, I spent a year developing a free app called Easy Ambience. It lets you build your own ambient soundscapes using noise, recorded sounds, waveforms, and effects, without ads interrupting the audio. Easy Ambience is available for iOS and Android at https://www.easyambience.app/.

You can also check this video's description for other ways to listen. Odysee is an ad-free option, and live stream versions of many of my most popular sounds are available on YouTube as well.

You're welcome to reply with details about what happened to you, but I already have a pretty solid understanding of the issue. Hostile comments directed at me over ads I did not insert will be removed.

I appreciate your patience and understanding. I wish YouTube would fix the underlying problem, but Easy Ambience is my attempt to give you an option where I have control over the listening experience.

Wow, this guy still replies to every comment after 5 years. Thats dedication. 👏

Anyone here nightly?

I’m a 80 year old certified insomniac and all the times I’ve played you no ads and I’m not a premium YouTuber.  You are a saint for offering these aids to sleep and trying to make life so much better.  God bless you, I’ll recommend you to everyone!  ❤❤❤

My right ear has been damaged from an ultrasonic animal repellent.

My doctors marked my right ear as a loss in terms of its ability to hear low frequencies. Ive had tinnitus since the event but this is the video I keep coming back to just to enjoy a bit of “quiet” from this mess. Thank you.

Currently using this for myself, my husband, and my 18 month old. Night #1, here we go

Literally have been here every single night for a year. I used to be such a light sleeper and would wake up to any little noise and now I just throw this on with my sleep mask and sleep through the whole night with the window open in a loud neighborhood. There is no other white noise better than this! THANK YOU!!!

the black screen and no ads? you are loved and appreciated

ive been listening to this every night for almost a year now, just wanted to finally say thank you! you're an amazing person for making this video which helps so many people, and for supporting people who suffer with tinnitus. :)

Like everyone else has stated, this video is so good for putting babies to sleep. My 2 month old loves it at bedtime. Thank you for making it without ads and a black screen. You are appreciated. -Another tired mama

My neighbours are doing construction work and my annoying work schedule clashes with it, this has been the only thing that has helped block the noise out without being on full volume, appreciate it bro.

No commercials AND no millisecond breaks in sound. Thank you so much! I listen to this at night for sleeping ANY time I don’t have access to a fan.

i can’t express how much this has helped my sleep improve and health! thank you sincerely!

Congrats bro, i specifically searched for no ads thinking that this was impossible, u helped us a lot with a little gesture. I will see all ur videos (if u have) with ads on day time, I will be glad to help u bro. Hope that you are okay, and ur closest people too. Sorry my English :)

This guy is the goat ❤

This is amazing I’ve been here every night for the past 6 months and replayed this video so many times, it’s so relaxing 💙

For you who created this there is a special place in heaven ❤️🧡❤️

Hey, I know you're not going to see this but thank you. I'm autistic and this is helping my sensory overload. Today has sucked and thank you 😊 for this

I love this. It's like being on a plane, which is literally the only time I can actually take a nap. Maybe because it's the only time I can fully relax and breathe with my phone in airplane mode and in the air. Everything you can worry about is out of your control in those few hours so there's no need to stress. I have adhd and ocd so I'm always anxious but this puts like an instant warmth behind my eyes.

I never really liked white nose it kinda hurt my head , didn’t even know brown noise low frequency was a thing and it honestly sounds like waves. Thanks! 😇
