I love how they acknowledge that venom is not a freaking super villain. He hates Spider-Man, but he respects his sense of justice not only that, but he’s not a bad guy. He’s a anti-hero.
Fun fact the VA playing venom here also plays JJ in the insomniac spiderman games so its funny to hear him ranting about how he's gonna F up spidey when all you hear is jj 😂
damn, imagine the trauma that the venom symbiot is going through after realising its in the same tower it was originally rejected in, the same tower where he found eddie in
This might be unirlnically one of the best adaptations of Venom, he is goofy but intimidating, he has beef with Spiderman but he is willing to put that aside for the greater good, he is not evil, he is less of a Hulk like monster compared to other versions... And most of all, it understands that there is no Venom without Eddie Brock. Insomniac should be taking notes.
15:44 I'm glad they didn't forget his origins. 16:18 This shows character development. After years of denial and misguided wrath he finally admits that everything that happened was his own fault.
11:36 Wow. That "Put' er there Partner" with handshake echoes their first team-up when they put their might together to stop Carnage. It's so awesome that after all these years they implement this.
I really love that version of Eddie, and the fact that they made him this kinda crazy conspiracy loon kind of journalist so he is both genuine and makes his conflict with Pete seem more natural, like it had to happen sooner or later.
