Ahhhh, you are in my back yard! Really about 2 miles south of my home. You have done a beautiful job at showing Point Lobos. My husband and I often tell each other that people travel thousands of miles to be here. We were both born and raised here and still get to live here. Ahhhhh, it is fun to see it through visitor's eyes and words. I have loved your many travels.

Oh I love Point Lobos! When I was a kid in the 1970s, we never had any trouble getting in, but the popularity has definitely increased. My husband and I tried to get in a few years ago when we spent some time in at an Inn in Monterey, and we couldn't even enter the preserve as they were full for the day. We had to leave the next day, so we'll have to try to get back and get in early. Thanks for the video!

Hi Pops! Circles in the rock are likely caused by erosion or metamorphism. Point Lobos is a beautiful place

I met Ansel Adams at Point Lobos. He had a large frame camera and he had a nice conversation. My younger sister, a professional photographer was so jealous. I call Point Lobos a poison oak preserve. It is a wonderful place for scuba dives.

I've been going there for 70 years and love it. I used to swim at China cove because the waves were never over a foot but it was closed the last time I was there for the seals.
