Sensitive sanguine study by brilliant montmartre portraitist Samuel, executed with a classical cross hatching technique, this is an example of place du tertre portraiture at its very best.
Daniel Arruda, superb musician from Brazil and friend provide sympa inspiration with vocals and guitar.

Sorry for comming to this video so late. After a 30 year lay off from my artistic pursuits i finally got back to portrait art 3 years ago. I draw every day for my personal enjoyment.
Samuel, you create a portrait like i can only hope one day i will be able to. I love your style. It is what i try to do. Thank you

Nos alegra muchísimo que aun haya artistas verdaderos en el mundo y que no todo sea la farsa contemporanea

Thank you Yvadmil, A wonderful lesson in non linear portraiture. I would love to see more of this mans drawings. A master at work! His lost edges on the far side of the face are perfect. That young lady must have been very pleased.

Thank you for sharing! Beautiful atmosphere and a phenomenal, classical style of work. Adding this to my Paris itinerary for next year, thanks to your video.

The music and the artist really set the mood here. Maybe one day i will have enough, to take a trip to France and seek out place de tertre to both get a portrait done, and do a portrait or two. It would be my 2nd trip to France since my NATO tour back in 1989. We had stopped off in Cherbourg for 3 days
