The whole crux of the story is that Dunk is both the truest knight, and no knight at all.

That’s the awesome irony.

Out of the blue, the entire season reaction in one glorious, opening scene dump! Genuinely made my week 😀

Something I pointed out is how Duskendale claiming to be a crabber’s son is like claiming your father owns a restaurant but is actually the CEO of McDonald’s.

One thing about this show I love is that Dunk and Egg will argue and admonish one another when they’re together, but when someone else gets involved and start bashing one of them, the other will step in and defend them. It’s like they’re brothers.

"His name was Ser Arlen of Pennytree and i am his legacy, on the morrow we will show them what his hand has wrought." Such an underrated line it gave me chills

According to GRRM, Baelor's death was the last chance for the 7 Kingdoms to avoid the chaos that took place in the original series. He would have been a perfect ruler and stopped the Targaryan's insanity. His death is basically the final breaks being taken off of a speeding car.

Peter Claffey turned in one of the greatest star making performances I've ever seen in this show. Like most people, wasn't familiar with him. Everything he does in this show is great and his range is amazing. He hits on every comedic moment and every emotional moment with the skill of someone who's been acting for much longer.

In GOTs Joffrey belittles Jamie by only having half a pages in the history books, where Duncan The Tall has 4 pages....I think. :)

"Ser wasn't gifted with sword or lance."

I beg to differ.

A 10 year old Tywin Lannister was Aegon's cupbearer when he grows up.

"Oh I'm so happy" said the misguided Simone unaware of what sadness awaits.

Yay! What a great, unexpected upload! Love this show!

"Caravan leaves after the 'roast' ", man lyonel is Savage AF

Daeron II "The Good" was king during his time. He married a Martell and brought Dorne into the 7 Kindgoms have his sister marry the Dornish Prince as well. Which is why Baelor has dark hair and his son Valaar as well. Baelor, the King's 1st son, is also Hand of the King.
Maeker is the 4th son, of King Daeron. Egg is Maeker's 4th son as his older brothers are Daeron the drunk, Aerion (Brightflame), Maester Aemon, and then Egg becomes Aegon V "the Unlikely", because he's the 4th son of a 4th son.

“There are three horses and two people.” A warhorse (destrier), a traveling horse (palfrey), and a packhorse. A knight wouldn’t use his trained stallion for pack or daily riding, they would be geldings (eunuchs)  or mares. Like a guy with a pickup truck, a sports car, and a daily commuter car. In the second episode the horse that kicks the stable hand in the face is called a palfrey by the Kingsguard knights.

Episode 5, Ser Arlen is drunk because he just lost his nephew and his squire during the BlackFyre rebellion battle of The Red Fields. The same battle we saw the aftermath of at the top of the flashback.

33:17 egg realized that he’s gonna have to lock in if he really wants to squire for ser Duncan, him asking Dunk to put him down is him switching from being just part of the crowd to a student studying for a future job

1:20:30 Also Baelor's death is genuinely like, a "canon event" in Game of thrones history. I believe that it was confirmed that if he had lived, westeros would have had it GOOD for a long time, like king Jaehaerys  in HoTD

The moment between Egg and Maekar at Aerions bedside isn't talked about enough. Maekar understood Egg but having just killed his own brother he wanted to spare him. Also there's nothing more cursed than a kinslayer.

"He could vanquish Ser Duncan the Tall, but not Dunk of Flea Bottom"
