Many other spots throughout the shield contain important metals.
Like this deposit, the vast shield does not give up its treasures easily.
And most importantly , Canada must do a far better job of steadfastly protecting the environment and the way of life for indigenous peoples as these resources are extracted . I am not convinced we are very good at that part right now.
