What is your most memorable moment from Zidane?

This was only the story of Zidane before he became a worldwide superstar, you'll definitely have to do a part 2 for the whole story

There has to be a part 2
Because we've not even gotten to the greatness of Zizuo

this is just his time playing in france because after this he whent to juventus, real madrid and won world cup  98and euros 2000 plus 3 European cups with real madrid as a manager now he is the new france manager......

This was just the beginning of his career we need another video

You DEFINITELY need a part 2 of Zidane this was just beginning of witnessing arguably the greatest French player of all time

You pronounced Henry's name very well! He was fast, and skilled! I prefer R9, but Henry would be close to second. He had much success!

It’s crazy to watch this without watching the final version of  Zidane.

It’s like watching a video of Michael Jordan in college to judge his NBA career and game.

This video popped up in my feed, Zidane was my favorite player. He's been just as good at being a manager as a player! I believe he is becoming or just became the French national teams manager for the foreseeable future, maybe long enough to try and win the next World Cup?

You have to remember that Zidane was born in 72, he's only 6 years older than I am. This entire video is about him prior to being 25. June 23, 1997 he turned 25. I turned 19, three days earlier. I didn't see him play except internationally until I was out of highschool in 96. He was just coming into his own. Especially once I was 21, sports bars in my area have football ⚽ on TV, so I could follow along before owning a phone became normalized.

For context, Messi made his debut for Barcelona at age 17. I love Messi, he was a amazing just in this past World Cup at age 38-39, his birthday is also in  late June, on the 24th. I know random stuff. Kobe, August 23, my brother's is the 20th, tomorrow!

3:09 id say its their decision making under pressure. I also think  they have the ability to absorb information, use the their initiative and be able to execute - all to the highest level.

Look, daily dose of football is my favorite football channel but this video only coverstory his early years and not his dominant ones.

I'm two months older than Kobe. Loved him! MJ/Olajuwan fan before Kobe. I believe Bryant should have gone to college for at least two years based on his body of work his first two seasons. I didn't see him play much those first two seasons. The Bulls were great, 72 wins, and Kobe was coming in off the bench. A lot of the younger people also don't realize that as a man, you need to grow even past age 18. Pippen famously grew 7 inches his freshman year in college. Kobe was doing well by the end of year two in the NBA, but He would have had a good rookie season had he played somewhere! It worked out, he got to meet MJ.

I'm glad you speak to the young people in your videos, I try with the comments, but who wants to listen to a guy their Father's age? It's getting harder with my nephews as well.

20:05 UEFA Cup, now rebranded as Europa League, you can say that it is "Lower Bracket Champions League". If top 3 domestic league teams can play in Champions league, 2 or 3 team below them will play in Europa League

The guy doing the kungfu kick was Eric Cantona, who played for Manchester United, not Zidane. The video was making the point that there were some interesting French players with anger issues. Lol.

UEFA is the European federation, so any competitions with UEFA means European competition. Under the old system the tiers of European competition teams from different leagues could qualify for were:

UEFA Champions League (champions and maybe second/third placed teams in leagues)
UEFA Cup (4th-6th placed teams in leagues)
UEFA Intertoto Cup (7th place teams for major leagues or teams that won Cup competitions like League Cups or FA Cups) note that the Intertoto Cup doesn't exist any longer. This gave lower ranked teams that won their league Cup a chance to play in Europe in the off chance they managed to beat higher ranked teams. So, a team like Luton if they won the league Cup could potentially play in Europe. The winner of the Intertoto Cup could qualify for the UEFA Cup. Now the equivalent is the UEFA Conference and the UEFA Conference League.

The winner of the Conference league qualifies to play in the UEFA Cup the next season. The UEFA Cup winner qualifies to play in the Champions League the next season. The winner of the Champions League qualifies to play in the recently started FIFA World Club Cup (featuring club champions from around the world including South America, Asia, North/Central America, Oceania, Africa).

The idea of coefficients and which leagues get more spots to play in European competitions each year gets very convoluted and is dependent on how well teams from leagues do in European competitions. For example, the English Premier League has Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Aston Villa in the Champions League this season with additional teams in the lower ranked UEFA Cup and UEFA Conference League. Major leagues such as Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Holland, Portugal and smaller leagues are allotted a certain number of teams to qualify each year for each competition each year.

There is no equivalent club competition in the USA other than the winner of the MLS Cup and the MLS Champion playing in a regional competition against Mexican teams, Caribbean teams, Canadian teams. Imagine if the NBA Champion each season qualified for a regional league so the Knicks would play the basketball champions of the Mexican league, Canadian, etc. Or what if the World Series winners in baseball played the champions of the Mexican league, Dominican Republic, Canada, etc. Americans tend to be exclusionary and elitist, so we call our teams world champions, but don't actually play other teams from other countries. 😂😂

To answer your question, scouts look for players with football (game) IQ and decision making. Physicality and endurance can be worked on later

Zidane and France won the World Cup in 1998!

If he think your tackle was over the line he'll get you. You can watch games when he got send off playing for Real Madrid.

Footballing talent is evaluated the same way to players of any sport.  It is equal parts science, art, psychology,  witchcraft, and guesswork.

The word most frequently applied to Zidane is "elegant".

He didn't so much run as he glided.

His technique on the ball wasn't stupefying like Ronaldinho's, but his movement was ghost-like.

It was as if the defender had Zidane in front of him one moment, and the next moment he was gone - almost like he instantly materialized in a dangerous area.

By footballing standards, he was big and physical (6'2", and perhaps 180lbs), but he wasn't a bruiser.  Contemporary players have commented about how much his size and power surprised them.  For one thing, he simply didn't look that big on television.  More important, he didn't PLAY like a man who relied upon his height or physical strength.  Again, the word that repeated itself was "elegant".

Unfortunately, the Zidane incident that lasts in my mind, was his final professional match - the World Cup Final against Italy.  An Italian player spent the entire game hurling horrible insults at Zidane and his family.

In added extra time (overtime, in American sports), the Italian made a crude moment about Zidane's sister.  Zidane turned and head-butted the guy in the chest.  He was shown a red card, leaving France to finish the match with ten men.  Italy went on to win in a penalty shootout.

If one is the type to believe in karma, one can take some satisfaction at Italy's subsequent misfortune.  They have failed to reach the last three World Cups.

Signification of number 10 is responsabilities....most skills and IQ at the same time....facilitator....number 10 never lost the ball....ball keeper...no many  turn overs...they usually captain of the team....or captain technically or mentally....when the team lost hope he got to bring hope every action....chill the team and the game when he have to.....number 10 it's point guard not everybody is captain in the team....some defenders are good captains....even the goal can be captain then second captain is always the number 10 because of skills....technics....and Zidane got late because of the era he playing...we had R9....Rivaldo....Rui Costa(some says he inspired the Zidane vista) Beckham...Figo.... Cantona....and Several french players he had to deal with in his national league....and teams(some of them were good....but were underdogs.. without superstar)
