🔥 Thinking About Buying a Pellet Grill? Watch This First!

Before you buy a pellet grill or smoker, I want to walk you through everything you need to know — how they work, what to look for, and which ones are actually worth your money.

I’ll show you why pellet grills have become so popular, how the fire and fuel system really works, and what separates a good grill from a great one. I’ll also share my top picks — from RecTeq (good), to Smokin Brothers (better), to Yoder Smokers (the best, made right here in Kansas).

At the end of the day, I’m here to help you find the grill that makes you happy — not just the most expensive one.

👉 Come see us at The Kansas City BBQ Store in Olathe or American Fire BBQ in Lee’s Summit, and we’ll help you find the perfect pellet grill for your backyard.

Yoder Cooker all the way - I've had mine for 12 years - Great Company, excellent customer service and an owner who cares about his employees!

From UK and bought a pit boss navigator 850, cookedbwirh it last weekend, wow what a nice bit of kit, so glad I invested in one. Done wood log smokers while I did enjoy the process of that and babysitting it managing temps, this just makes more consistent cooks and makes life a bit easier and enabling to to man a fire at all times etc.

It’s like a little jet engine that cooks ribs and butt roasts! And like an aviation engine I had a hung start or aka hot start. The igniter rod was wearing out causing an excess of pellets to buildup in the pot then when they did ignite finally there was excess billowing smoke and then a Whoomph that lifted the lid a little bit and got my and my neighbors undivided attention! Excess gasses produced by the hot unlit pellets ignited suddenly!! Lol. Luckily it’s not a $300,000 turbine engine! 😂

#1. Food will be way less smoky than other types of grills.
#2. It will not properly sear.
I don’t care what the manufacturer claims. The above will absolutely hold true.

I’ve had traegers all my adult life. They do everything I want. Don’t have a need for more. I make fantastic meats and other dishes all the time. And they are bullet proof !!

first thing to know about a pellet grill is you're going to spend upwards of 500 dollars and it won't do as good of a job as a 300 dollar stick burner and will only last half as long before needing repaired or replaced.
