Argentina is a land where talent, science, and passion constantly defy all limits. In this journey, we explore the stories, milestones, and figures that demonstrate the greatness of our identity, starting with sports and the unforgettable grit of Las Leonas (The Lionesses), who once again made history at the Hockey World Cup against the Netherlands with an epic display of character and teamwork.
Argentina's impact transcends borders and reaches the heart of international science. We discover the fascinating expeditions of CONICET (National Scientific and Technical Research Council) in the depths of the Argentine Sea with the Schmidt Ocean Institute, the prestigious Kavli Prize awarded to astronomer Amina Helmi for mapping the origins of the Milky Way, and the fundamental contribution of scientist Pablo Canziani to the research on the ozone hole with NASA. Added to this is our rich historical legacy, recalling how the country was a pioneer in human rights and the abolition of slavery through the historic Freedom of Wombs Act of 1813 and the National Constitution.
Furthermore, we delve into those cultural curiosities that unite us, from the architectural consecration of the La Plata Cathedral, chosen as the most beautiful in the world, to the unique humor and everyday customs that define our national identity.
The New System to continue discovering the best stories, analyses, and curiosities about our culture and the world.
