You can see the pain in Brann's eyes as he talks, especially when he mentions Brent. Complicated grief is such a hard thing to manage. Wishing them all the best, and the new album is absolutely brilliant.

Oof. You can see Brann relive that exact moment when asked about Brent. So sad they didn't get to one day mend the split.

Troy out here in the witness protection program. Lol.

This new album is of course going to sound different but i think they sound absolutely mind blowing and this album will hold a special place in my heart. It’s so good.  Nick and Joia could not have been better graftings into the band. I think they crushed it!!!

Brann is so emotionally articulate. It's really cool to see. And Troy and Bill are so rock-solid and have such positive attitudes. The three of them really complement each other.

So grateful for these guys.

RIP BRENT. MASTODON FOREVER!

I want to sincerely apologize from the bottom of my heart. I shot some arrows recently—just bullshit words... I was somehow angry and emotionally conflicted about Brent no longer being here with us and in the band. I really feel sorry for that because I love all the guys in Mastodon. This band is my elixir, especially when I'm going through rough times—and there are many... Along with Sabbath, my favorite band of all time, Mastodon has been the Black Sabbath of the last 25 years for me. The new album is fucking phenomenal, just like all Mastodon albums. It somehow makes me feel at peace with the situation that Brent is no longer with us. I also want to believe he would be proud of them, because his legacy can't be erased and will forever remain the DNA of this band. Love, peace, and respect ☮️❤️🤘🏼

The new album rips and takes you for such a trip! Mastodon Lives!! Godspeed Brent, you’ll be missed by all. 🤘

Just realized Brann and Bill are in the same room.

The new album is great!! Some nice grooves I haven't heard before. Rest easy Brent.

No matter how I feel about the new album, it's truly a blessing to have their entire catalog available at any time. The Brent era was truly epic and I am grateful to have experienced it.

Rocking the album now

Bill and brann have the same painting just different ways around kept catching my attention

After all the comments all the reviews and many listens to the album. It is intriguing that there are so many different views on favorite and least favorite songs. It is a solid album and I love the new guys contributions.

we love you all man and we hurt also. Im very grateful to see you guys continuing strong through the hardships of life. I never watch podcast style things. but if its mastodon and music related im in. You guys are all my inspirational heros as a musician. brann is just a force to be reckoned with

The most beloved band in the metal community, and possibly the most embattled

I have to say that this new album GROWS on you. I was spinning it couple of times and didn't feel it right away. But more I keep listening to it, it really feels like a masterpiece. Maybe not in the sense of legendary hit songs but I totally love how the "A-side" is familiar heavier stuff and the later side is progressive-ish utilizing beautiful guitar and keyboard stuff from both Nick and Joao. Especially the last track has quickly become my fave track.

great fucking interview dude. killed it

8:14 give Brann a fucking hug
