Danny Worsnop, the vocalist of Asking Alexandria strayed away from metalcore and the warped tour / crab core scene went nuts.
Today we explore why his shift into country and hard rock could have been predicted from a mile away and why i think the scene was wrong for setting a high bar for him.

I'm now at the age where I can watch something that's a retrospective, and remember the days being talked about clearly and having it hit that this was all nearly 20 years ago.

All things considered. His performance at the mitch lucker suicide silence memorial show was amazing. Look it up if you haven’t seen it

I don't even need an "Old sound" from AA, I just need the frontman to give a shit

I remember seeing AA back in 2014 and Danny was so hammered he couldnt even sing and the rest of the band was stumbling drunk on stage. Probably the worst show I have ever seen.

Danny worsnop early days: drunk metalcore screamer writing songs like morte et dabo

Danny worsnop now: christian country artist

Forget the paul mccartney death theory, now we got the Danny Worsnop death theory

(edit: i just made a joke guys chill im not saying old or new danny is better than the other, ppll change)

I went to a Asking Alexandria show in 2024 in Recife, Brazil, and Danny was singing like a pro. It was definitely the best day of my life, but it's sad to see the path the band is taking because they could be giants like bmth.

I was friends with him he helped get my old band signed.
He wasn’t really in to “metalcore” but he was obsessed with 80s hair metal specifically Motley Crue. That was all he listened to constantly.

its weird because his screams were great

From crabcore to hillbillycore.

He was Ricky from trailer park boys in a metalcore band

3:20 I was at this show. It was rough..
I did get the mic during the end of Final Episode though, so there’s video of me screaming my brains out on here lol 😅

I have a different opinion. He was a teenager when AA started, people grow and changes, he is no longer in his late teens and has lived enough to make whatever he considers the best decisions for his life work and personal wise speaking.
