feels like British seaside towns peaked in the 70s and then went full penny pinching mode to compete against international competition rather than updating their facilities

The sad thing about Blackpool and many seaside resorts they used to be lovely many moons ago, as a kid it was such a treat when my mum and dad took me to blacpool etc. unfortunately they are now so rundown

A business model built entirely around someone having two campari and soda's a night and in bed by 9pm. Couldn't pitch it at the Benidorm crowd, they'd bleed to death in weeks on ale costs alone

I went to this hotel when I was about 6 (I’m now 30) I remember it fondly. Nice to see they haven’t changed the carpets in the room

i stayed there in 2006 with my mum!!!!! she slipped on the ramp and the hotel upgraded us to all inclusive :D i was 11 it was sosoosso fun just getting away with my mum and being spoiled xd reply "ok" if u liked my memory :3

I stopped at the same hotel only few weeks ago cost me £70 a night and tbf i had my moneys worth just out the bar alone and the food is not bad.

Blackpool has the potential to be a great seaside town but like many ends up being boarded up and substandard hotels and charging £130 you’d expect better.
