Which Pokemon did you select to start when playing the classic Red/Green/Blue?

“Ash, an idiot who’s constantly on the verge of death.”
Accurate to the entire show, really

"Weak to bug type and existential crisises"
Honestly same

You forgot to include “the first time you ever cried during a film” alongside of Pikachu trying to revive Ash

Mewtwo: I have a dream that one day pokemon will be equal.
Human: Gengar use dream eater.

What a coincidence, this movie is turning 20 years old this year.

How I wish they had referenced the most profound and powerful line ever spoken in a kids movie.

"I see now that the circumstances of one's birth are irrelevant. It is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are." -- Mewtwo

I love that the whole ”lesson” the kids were taught was mindwiped at the end, making the whole plot pointless 😂

Genuinely surprised you didn't comment on how Ash tries to punch Mewtwo after he saw him overpower several pokémon without even touching them.

Brock: She's really small but very pretty...

Jokes on you, I'll never be embarrassed that this was the first movie I ever cried to.

I think when nurse joy said “they aren’t meant to fight like this” I am pretty sure what she means it fight to the death

Meet Ash, an immortal ten-year old who's gonna catch them all, but only has like 30 out of 900 and the only time he won a conference, it was filler.

Edit: he eventually won a conference, then went to the world championship and won again then retired. He was still 10

HOW in God's name did you completely skip over the 20 minute acid trip that is Pikachu's Vacation?!?!

@ooahooah7489 7 years ago

"Mewtwo, a psychic Poke'mon who is weak to bug types and existential crises."😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

This superfan can explain Meowth's accent (from a creator's standpoint at least): The actress who played him grew up a fan of Bugs Bunny and basically used that as an inspiration.

Embarrass my outer adult? You must not know me very well.

@irain4927 7 years ago (edited)

I was laughing until the Pikachu clone slap scene.
Then I cried from the memories.
Then I laughed again at the subbed joke.

I may not be a super fan

But it is known Team Rocket’s Meowth was a stray and taught himself to speak to impress a Meowth from a rich family. I like to think the choice of a Brooklyn accent is to reflect that he was “raised by the street”, also that he was not formally taught English so his pronunciation and grammar was refined by common folks’ conversations.
