The iMacs were so cool. The Mac labs at my college had them and I really wanted one. Was super tempted by the eMacs too but I had an iBook and couldn't really warrant the expense for either

I saw this on my tv at my Grandparents house. If my phone was not dead I would of already finished.

I used to play Tekkit Classic (a modpack for MC 1.2.5) which required Java 5, on a PowerBook G4 - anything newer than Minecraft 1.5.2 requires Java 6. I guess you had a version of 1.8.9 that didn't....?
Minecraft beta 1.7.3 should work on a system with 256MB, and there's still servers running that too. I doubt you'd actually figure out how to get it to work without someone telling you though.

OWC is a god-send. I used to do IT at a school that exclusively used 10+ year old iMacs and had to order so many replacement parts/ram upgrades/etc from them! Glad to see they're still around.
