I was lucky enough to get a week of pre-release access to this add-on and honestly, I spent most of that time just messing around with landscapes because it was helluva fun! This add-on is absolutely terrific. Good luck with it!

These addons that you come across are a God send...Lens Sim is a really good addon and I've really loved the results it's made.
Now to watch this and understand what it's about, I already know I'll love it

I wish i could get this kind of quality to actual locations on earth for my archviz work using proper GIS geodata.

Do also check out Curtis Holt's hex scatter tool for removing tiling - also works with the depth an normal maps. Good stuff

Interesting. I was just looking for a terrain tool that would allow you to draw landscape and then apply some modifications, as paint erosion, paint rocky mountains, etc. Unfortunately, not this one

Gleb!! This is important! 🙏✨💕(Unless I'm wrong)...
But would it be possible in a future video to address the problems with Box projection when using things like a Normal Map or Displacement Map? Currently Normal Maps are not supported with box projection and they cause obvious shading artifacts. Displacement maps (plugged into the displacement socket of material output node) causes texture stretching/tearing as it seemingly is re-projecting back onto itself. The only way I've managed to get any sort of bump detail to appear naturally without either breaking the textures or the shading, is to plug displacement maps into the Bump node plugged into the normal socket and use that instead. I think this is vital information as soooo many tutorials tell people to "just use box projection" and if you're using a default PBR setup, then many people out there are going to have weird shading oddities and texture stretching/tearing.

How did you make the volumetric cloud layer, are there any addons or videos you can point me towards?

The Pro 4k version of this is only 40bucks? My god what steal.

I'm playing around with the free sample landscape model and when I apply a lattice, as you show at 17:31, it just deforms the landscape into a mes with lots of artifacts, as if it was stretched beyond infinity. Any advise?
