Can you be both a Christian and a Nationalist?

Our Head of Public Policy Tim Dieppe went on BBC One Sunday Morning Live to debate this question with Sean Fletcher (host), Steve Chalke, Nick Fletcher, and Kate Orson.

At Christian Concern, we’re building a movement of Christians that is passionate about bringing the love, justice, truth, freedom and hope of Jesus Christ to the heart of society.

"The church should be a healthy debate".

No, the church should be seeking to obey the Lord Jesus Christ and be faithful to the bible.

Tim barely had a chance to say anything because of the left leaning ‘host’ who commanded the narrative and spoke more than his guests
I agreed completely with Tim and I am so relieved that he said what he did
Christ is King
Jesus is Lord
Maranatha❤

Why do the BBC always have to refer to Tommy Robinsons ‘real ‘ name, but never Zack Polanskis ?

It's Not immmigrants they are protesting about, its Illegal immigration.
Any law breaking should be opposed .

Inclusion is being raised above any use of discernment. Jesus' words are for too often manipulated to suit the will of the state (and state media). Some good things said here - but not from the host for sure.
Well done Tim. And I'd like to hear more from Nick Fletcher.

Classic BBC giving more emphasis to the woke Steve Chalke, a man who rejects the Bible. The Bible supports nationalism, seen in Babel and then Israel. Let's not be so weak.

Thanks for reminding us of Tommy Robinson's real name. Because that was necessary wasn't it?! And I think we might already know that by now thanks to the endless reminders from the mainstream media 😂

The problem with the message of Christianity is that the Truth it preaches will intimidate sinful people. (All of us!) You cannot make the message of Jesus palatable. It's uncomfortable truth. He shows up our sinfulness and our need for a saviour. We need to repent and be humble before our God. And that can be uncomfortable if you don't want to surrender!

The Church of England is broadly corrupt and apostate

‘That’s the message we should end it with.’ Really?

Terrible way to end the debate

The Christian’s are called to love people. The government are called to protect us, which they are not, which is where the anger and protests are coming from.

The Christians in balaclavas are stepping up to protect the country as the government are failing

Steve Chalke went off the rails years ago.

I have only just started listening snd want to comment more but say most emphatically ‘we do not lean to the right or the left, WE STAND.’ We will not be labelled by anyone.
