“I’ve searched all the parks in all the cities and found no statues of committees.” - G.K. Chesterton.

well said Father! it would be great to see more priests speak on this topic in such a clear manner.

"Overly influenced by the preoccupations of the middle classes in the developed world" Absolute nail on the head job

Thanks Father Brendan.  Delivered with old school masterly humour.  Suspect this is another residue of 60s.  Old priest I knew used to reflect on the many problems which emerge when man seeks to become God.

Well said Fr Brendan. Glad you spoke for our youth too👏👏👏

Anyone who Confirms sinners in their sin Will face a harsher Judgement

Thanks fr. Brendan...I recently had the pleasure (not) of attending a synodality meeting..afterwards I returned home wanting to join the Carthusians or become a hermit...one elderly priest left gloating in the concept of a "New Church"...is the Church Jesus founded not good enough for us ..personally I will stick with Jesus...after all he is God ...presently synodality seems listening to the world and not to God . God bless you fr. Brendan.

Thank you so much for speaking about this stuff.

Excellent!… as usual, Fr. Brendan.   This Synodal way will be loaded with persons who are living in sin, according to the CCC and Canon Law and want to be “affirmed” in that sin. Christ founded the ONLY Church on Peter.  Ambiguity will prevail, whilst keeping veneer of Orthodox teaching.

Not so long before the synodal process, I was thinking a call for regular vigils of prayer to be held in our Churches would be an urgency given the times we are living in.
Regular and persistant prayer opens our eyes and ears. We learn to listen to God. What pray are we going to learn from only listening to each other?
I do hope this synodality results in the expansion of our participation as members of the body of Christ and participants in His salvation plan for all of us. Afterall priests now are in short supply with some even having to minister to two plus parishes.
If the synodal process ends up leaning towards God as a concept instead of a percept, we are in trouble.
Your absolutely right father when you said that all taking part in synodality should be assessed so they don't have heretical ideas.

On a good note, today after praying my rosary for peace (as Pope Leo asked us to do each day in October), I popped into a cafe and a young man started asking me about God. He was making an effort but was not a member of any Christian Church. He said he was in a situation where he had to call out to God and what he experienced he could never deny it wasnt God. Anyway, had I not been praying 20 mins earlier, I dont think we would have had such a fruitfull discussion which he appreciated. God gave me the clarity to understand to some extent where he was coming from so that I could support his efforts and give a little clarity.

Well said Fr. Brendan. God bless you  and our Holy Catholic Church 🙏
We must remember Who is in charge and what He wants..... not meetings about nonsense...... we must pray, pray, pray and pray for His Church and His Priests and Vocations.
We need more Priests like you 🙏

Well  said  Father  thank you  for making this whole nonsense re solidarity much clearer  God  bless

Well said Fr.Brendan

Talks about talks, as we like to say up North.
Another great talk Fr.B

Thank you,  Fr. Brendan for your wise words.  🙏🏻

I had so hoped that with the demise of its papal instigator, the entire synodality project would die the kind of quiet death that no one would notice until well after it was gone. Oh well . . .

I was involved in our dioceses synodal process meetings. On the meeting where we received the document that described the 'topics' we were to choose from, I objected that there wasn't one mention of Our Lord, Our Lady, conversion, returning to and promotion/teaching of the sacraments. The document I read, I said was like something that was written by a HR department and I added not even written well.  I haven't been invited back to another meeting since.

It results in "Someone" claiming, (without evidence !), that baptism was child abuse .
That is what  long ,careful, cerebral thought can come up with !.
Astounding.

Please God the Church will go back to teaching the word of God. The Commandments the importance of recognising our sins and how to confess them properly. Jesus I trust in You. With "individual leadership" comes individual responsibility, which everyone is running miles from today. It is very easy to offend people. I agree completely with everything you are saying. God bless you.

Synodality rubbish. They don't want to discuss abortion. Tells me everything.
Some years ago I did a course on pastoral theology. The course was filled with radicals looking for women priests, revisit humanae vitae to allow contraception and of course divorce . These are all the same people involved in synodality.
I did hear a lecture from Fr Eamonn Conway , not on that course,. He called many things in the Bible into question. For instance Jesus wasn't reared in Nazareth according to some scholars as he seemed to have more than one language. Really, He was God.
The push in these courses was to reduce the divine.
