Sounds silly but it's kind of heart warming to see these videos as a going concern on the channel again. Zilla driving a truck is like comfort food :).

A+ for the swedish pronunciation! Impressive.

Being from above the arctic circle in Sweden I am really pleased with the DLC. Love the light during night and the landscape. Also I can drive through my hometown and it's pretty well done.

Just want to say I'm glad to see your truck sim videos back.

I finished my Valentines deliveries yesterday. Grinding achievements now.

I'm halfway through the Valentines event. I did 7 in ATS and now I have to do 7 in ETS2, so that'll either be this weekend or sometime next week. I've been doing it the way you are, just taking them where they need to go. Been around New Mexico and Arizona, ending up at the Grand Canyon.

Nordic Horizons is probably my favorite DLC across either game because it brings those many miles of wilderness 'turn on cruise control and watch the truck go' gameplay that's otherwise difficult to find in Europe due to the generally higher density than in the American west. The relaxing cruise gameplay is the main reason why I play ATS more than ETS2, so it's great to be able to do those long drives where you can cruise for miles without having to worry about the next junction or tollbooth etc it ETS2 as well now. It also brings the feeling of driving somewhere I've been IRL. Although I've never actually been to Europe at all the scenery of the Norwegian mountain areas is very reminiscent of what the mountainous areas of New Zealand look like, which I have been to, so even though I've never actually been to Norway I still get that effect of familiarity when driving there ingame. I'm hoping for more of that in British Columbia since they have mountains and fjords to work with as well.

I tend to play whivh one has a new DLC but if I have completed the events I tend to play more in ATS. I do like watching other people play on You Tube and you are by far the best.

@timber9705 7 months ago

I tend to drive in whatever DLC has just been published. Since ATS has had more, I've driven in ATS more. When events occur, I typically split them 50/50 and use it as an excuse to fast travel to a new area and explore the area during the event. Bonus is more money for event deliveries (not that I need the money), new discoveries while exploring and just general map completions.
With ATS states constantly being redone, it's getting harder to keep them explored. I usually get to 70-75% for most. I don't do every road, depot, etc. Recently when I hit a new city, I try to discover every non-company depot and the roads around them. This means I don't miss anything while there.
All new jobs, I attempt to go from a new depot to a new depot. That does get harder as you explore more, but it is something I try to get at lease one end. I also use GPS to route me on as many unexplored roads when I do jobs, even if it takes me out of my way. If there is time, I explore and get paid for it.

I’ve not played either, but enjoy watching you play it! Good question about where all of the fines money goes. Sounds like a conspiracy if you ask me!

Hope your doing well zilla blitz ❤

Those achievements which 'appeared' were from a previous update where they made some of them a bit easier to get. So where you needed to 10 deliveries they'd have reduced it to 5 or 6. I wasn't such a fan of them doing that.

In terms of balance of play - I guess it's a little bit subjective. If we're talking about time taken in a month, then its currently equal - but I have a lot more hours in ETS2. Make of that what you will!

These regions were all reworked (in Scandinavian DLC). It looks like the road network was altered in Stockholm, although I'm not sure in the Stockholm tower was their originally. I half think it was, but it looked different.

Any of those games you mentioned sound fun, but Farm Sim 25 would be my top pick.

I mostly play ETS and I watch your ETS series. I have considered ATS when it was on sale but I don't want to grind another game like ETS. As for the games I checked the fishing one out and it looks interesting. For Kairn I heard that it is a great game even if you are not a climber in real life, it's a challenging game but if you are up for it do a video or a livestream. I have another suggestion for a game, it's called Dredge, it's a fishing game but has a lot more mechanics and a really good story it's a horror game but it doesn't have jump scares or any of that stuff. Just a little bit of anxiety when you are fishing and a big monstrous fish comes close to you. It's a solid game in my opinion and it's worth the time even if you don't want to do a video or stream and play alone. Lastly I wanna ask how do you have 10 hours of sleep? When I sleep I have 9 and that was the same before the update.

The requirements for many "discovery" achievements were lowered. All the "100%" achiements were dropped to like 60% and so on. So you have to do less to get the achievements

I would like to see Farming Simulator make a return

@MarcMacNair 7 months ago

Santa Claus is St. Nicholas or "Sinterklaas" in Dutch. Over time you end up with Santa Claus.

@mindweavers 7 months ago (edited)

I drive in both but prefer ATS. I for sure play ATS more. 452 in-game hours in ATS vs 68 in ETS2. I find ETS2 much more stressful. Now Farming Simulator...lol, 548 in FS25, 3572 in FS22, and 1253 in FS19. I've got 248 in Hunter Call of the Wild. I hunted with both a rifle and a crossbow before arthritis stopped me. The deterrent for me is being hunted in Hunter COTW.
There are a ton of maps for FS25. They have broken them into categories: Europe, North America, South America, and Other/Fantasy. How fun they are depends on your personal interest in maps. I love small farms that can be grown and built out, rather than a small farm that has no room or a large farm that has no challenge.

@thehappywargamer9122 7 months ago

I just enjoy watching the play, I don't play either game. I would like you to finish a drive without breaking any traffic laws.

@coyi51 7 months ago

Plod hiding in the bushes as you zoom by, maybe euro police are waiting for you. Still a bit rusty on the parking, but should improve in future episodes. No issues with people hunting for food, trophies is whole different ball game. Many thanks.

Personally, I play American Truck more than Euro Truck. In fact, I haven't driven Euro Truck in months. Not that I don't like BOTH games. I love them!

@JollyRoger1718 7 months ago

For some reason ETS doesn’t peak my interest, I rather watch and play ATS, the only reason why I watch it here is because I don’t want to miss hearing what ever you want to talk about. But otherwise I don’t search any videos on YouTube or anywhere else.

ProMods recently released a mod covering parts of the Maghreb region in Africa. The mod used to be Maghreb Map but it was taken over by ProMods and updated. I need to check it out when I return to modded truck sim.
