Definitely one of their greatest most solid albums to date with so much meaning and meditation on their time as a band. Every time I listen to it, I just love it more and more. They really made something for themselves and I love it.

Calm Down is NOT a skip. C'mon that song is a throwback. There is NO filler on that song. This is one of Amy's favorite songs on the album.

Calm down is a much needed change of pace and a massive throw back to the open door, one of the best songs for me!

When the Sanctuary Album dropped, i was so shocked how the whole album played homage to the past Evanescence albums esp the pre-fallen album goin back to 1999. What else gotta say? So i got em ViP tickets to see them this September in Manchester 😅.

I discovered Evanescence when I was 10 years old thanks to my older brother. He showed me the music video Bring Me to Life, and I was completely captivated. I secretly listened to Going Under and Everybody's Fool because, for a ten-year-old girl, those kinds of music videos were considered a bit "weird," but I absolutely loved them.

Sixteen years later, I decided to listen to those three songs over and over again, just like I used to. I've never listened to any other Evanescence or Amy Lee songs besides Bring Me to Life, Going Under, and Everybody's Fool.

A few days ago, I found out that my partner had been deeply unfaithful. Three years of my life were thrown away—years in which I lost myself. I prioritized my ex-boyfriend to the point that I stopped studying, stopped working, and gave up my social life. Ever since I started dating him, I've been completely isolated. Only to eventually discover that he had been in a relationship with another girl at the same time for an entire year.

I have more trauma than happy memories. I've never been able to talk to anyone about this pain because, as I said, I became socially isolated...Some weeks ago, I discover this album and fell in love with every single song. I related to each one, and I feel like, thanks to this album, I can finally feel understood after everything that happened in my relationship and the betrayal. I don't know what Amy went through in her own relationship, but every song has helped me so much, and I truly love them all. <3

By the way, this was such a beautiful reaction!

Guys, about "How do I heal", Amy told in the interview that she wrote the song about missing New York City—not just the place itself, but the life she lived there and the people she lost during that time

12:39 The Bitter Truth first two tracks for me are the stand outs.

My favorites are also Self Destruct and Rapture. I agree that Calm Down is not the most compelling song, but I really enjoy it as a chill vibe. The instruments/production give it a sexy feel that I appreciate as a change of pace.

Overall, I love that Amy is embracing her mezzo-soprano range and not forcing higher notes in these new songs. I watched some live performances; she’s nailing all the songs (especially Forever Without You) and sounding even better than the studio version sometimes!

Wide open Heart is a perfect goodbye song. “I know I’m only dust…” in the wind? I would hate for this to be their last album but it would be a beautiful close to an era. Hopefully welcoming a new era. More industrial, heavier, happier, hopeful, angry, afraid. ❤❤❤❤ my favorite group since 2003.
