I don't know what these ridiculous comments are but this video was amazing. Listening to Brian Cox is always a pleasure.

One of the strangest implications of cosmology is that if inflation produced an effectively infinite universe, and the number of physically distinguishable states within a finite region is finite, then configurations have to recur. Taken seriously, that means reality could contain exact physical repetitions of things we ordinarily think of as purely fictional. So when you watch a movie or TV show depicting something that is physically possible, there could be a region of the universe where an indistinguishable sequence of events is actually happening: the same people, the same circumstances, the same conversation, the same words, right down to the physical state of their brains. Breaking Bad could be fiction as a production while an effectively identical version of those events is simultaneously reality somewhere unimaginably far away. Obviously this isn’t a prediction established by observation, but it is a genuinely serious consequence of certain cosmological assumptions. Once you start thinking about it that way, watching fiction gets pretty fucking mind-bending.

The deeper the scientific question gets,  the more mystical and supernatural it sounds😊.

Infinite universe aside, it's scary to see the dead internet theory at work.

Great vidoe

Thanks for the update 😂

I always wonder about what other elements there are beyond what we have on the periodic table here on Earth. Surely there are many other elements and other civilizations somehow categorize the overall elemental table differently..

What was the universe like during its earliest moments? 🤔

How does the Higgs boson theory fit in with this  ?

That degree and speed of expansion , pre big bang, is in layman's terms, batshit crazy.

That's not a phenomenon that the human mind should even consider understanding. It is a command, a wish from the mind of the infinitely almighty creative spirit, the one thing that cannot be detected, measured, but impossible to ignore it's presence all around us, and is present in every vibration in existence. In a click of a finger, let there be, and there was.

Humans have an obsession with analysing, measuring, to back engineer part of a  story that is infinitely complex and deep. In a million years from now,  we'll have even more advanced theories than today's, and still no closer to a definite answer.

We are soooo small.....Geez.

Interesting concept,  not only our universe was born but also others at the same time . We are surrounded by brother and sister universes.  I can see four Gravitational flux exchanges on the CMB. Where the other universes Gravitational flux exchange brush aside our universe.  Born from the main bulk multiverse.  And beyond pure mathematics.

I choose to believe more in an enteral cyclical universe, everything points to circles and spheres being what we live on is and stars everything which never ends or begins it just is. ⭕️

the Universe is a perpetual motion machine

Why the music 4:30 I can't understand....ffs

0:43 doesn't really make sense or would it? How would the universe right after the big bang be bigger than the whole observable universe today? Or did he mean something else...? Like an empty big shell with some boundary? And what would define this?

Yes, the Higgs field math explodes the universe, but we can see that the universe has a propegation and deformation max, light speed.

Space has handled every strees applied without ripping apart. Its doesnt rip. It handles stress effeciently, with collapse of geometry.

Universe is expanding at max rate. Energy is rising. Something has to compensate for the needed 105 space in a 100 size box. Geomety squeezes together.

This leads to compressed areas that are like tsunamis on earth, BUT there is no up/down axis in space so, collapse is the only option available for the wave. You get a "collapse tsunami".

Tsunami on earth compensates by growing taller, up.  In space it grows taller by compressing geometry to store the energy.

If the universe was: "accelerating exponentially before the Big Bang," how did the Big Bang occur whilst this acceleration was going on? For would it have time to pause and if not, how did the universe become so uniform with all being disrupted by any pauses in acceleration or whilst accelerating? The only logical answer to the acceleration of matter are the plasma polar outburst jets of big Black hole planets, as this we know they do! And given Black holes have twin polar outbursts, with the possibility of another universe being created on the other side, this doubled- up energy would lend a pause to any acceleration and yet the matter fired out that may have created our observable universe, would be still accelerating.

What i would love to know is couldn't the concept of the big bang be much more accurately explained by the thought of all the matter in the universe was being expelled by a super massive black hole than suddenly entering existence from a point less than a billionth the size of a atom. There are over a trillion galaxies in our observable universe where did all that matter come from? Surely a more acceptable reason would be this is all the matter from the countless galaxies that could of been swallowed up and squashed down to such an inconceivably small size before getting thrown out. From our perspective it would look the same as an explosion like the big bang and would also fit with all other research like the universe is still expanding and why we could never see past the edge as from out point of view no light could ever escape past this point in time making essentially the view from our perspective as it looks like 1 big bang that started our whole universe. I'm not a physicist or have any qualifications in science but find this fascinating would love to see why this doesn't make more sense than other opinions that have always been given as the start of the universe.
