Soldiering is honestly all his family has ever known. His father and all eight of his brothers, three of his sisters, were Republic military or intelligence. His mother's family were also mostly Republic military. His grandparents and great grandparents were Republic military. All of his siblings and cousins were Republic military. Service is in his blood. He was raised to love, live, and die for the Republic. He trained from the moment he could walk, talk, and hold a blaster to be the best soldier there could ever be.

From all the stories around the dinner table, he understood the Republic wasn't a flawless organization. However, it was best for the galaxy. The truth taught him not to be disheartened or let down by the imperfections and failings of the system. No, better to use those imperfections to his advantage to do what's best for the people. Follow the chain of command or change the chain of command. Work and follow orders until he's the one that was in charge and making the orders. Find ways to make change on your way to the top. When you're at the top, that's when you solidify change.
