This is a great video, I wish there were more videos out there that discuss the design criteria and history of a specific  engines.  Have you ever considered do a video on the Twin Cam and it the Milwaukee 8?  I really enjoyed the stories too, good stuff.

For those who read the comments you should know that Bill said he was a third of the company legally.......HOWEVER Cape Cod Harley Davidson was a success primarily because of this great guy who has integrity and a work ethic above anyone I have ever met.....including me! Bill is too humble....HE built the empire!! Looks great my friend!!

I just love hearing your stories ! I just purchased my second Harley Davidson I’ve ever owned it’s a 97 Electra glide ultra classic with evo and magnetic Morelli fuel injection it only has 32,626 mils on it super clean but I’m always riding two up I need more power 😢 but I love my bike wouldn’t trade it for a new one .

Love your videos, I'm 69 years old and wish I was still working in a shop, I worked 16 years at a Honda dealership and built so many 750's,  then the CBX came out and built those, then went into the car business as service manger, 16 years  at a Olds Cadilac dealership, 12 years at a BMW dealership and 5 years at an Audi dealership, retired in April 2024. Started riding Harleys in 2015, on my third touring bike, a 2019 CVO Limited, I really enjoy traveling on it. I do all my own work, bought a Handy lift and tire machine, I wasn't going to work on the floor any longer. The best time of my life was working at that Honda dealership being the service manager and wrenching, any rate keep up the good work.

The saying “old is gold” has never been more true in motorcycling. I get how radar, cameras, and massaging seats can be desirable in a car, but more tech doesn’t make a better bike. Give me traction control,  cornering abs, keyless ignition, led lights, and I’m good. I don’t even need any more power than what today’s bikes are making. The appeal of riding comes from the intimate connection between man and machine. It’s about a reduced essence of being, not excess and the superfluous -  just two wheels and a motor. When you straddle your bike and all you see in front of you is a windshield, touchscreen, speakers, and a dashboard, you may as well just go for a drive… because at that point, you’re already halfway to a Miata.

Absolutely love your videos, stories and history lessons. Glad there guys like you still doing it.

My first Harley was a '97 Fatboy. Bought it new while on a cruise, (Navy). Rode it for 10 yrs and sold it. Bought an '07 Ultra Classic, then bought a '12 Street Glide. Then re-purchased the Fatboy. Garage is real full now. Love the EVO motor.

Hey Bill, awesome content !, bought my first bike, a 76 Bicentenial sporty from Walter. You guys were on Ridgewood ave , in Hyannis at that point and the led mechanic was Bob Gannon. I do remember the drama in the back shop in Pocaset…lol OCC didn’t have a thing on you guys. I have a bunch of stories of that shop, and the employees there. Diane was great a parts person and always took care of me.
