The best board is the one you can afford and gets you to where you want to go. Whether that is a trick you want to learn or improving riding skils.

I’d be estatic to find that board for 20$

Also consider that this Burton board is a 2007 model, namely 18 years old, while the Yonex is brand new.

My thoughts are that a lot of people don't realise what a blessing it is, to be able to find a board like the Burton Elite, for 20bucks!
We didn't have this option in the 90s or early 00s.
Obviously, if you're looking to progress and you're on the mountain every second day, you'll be spending the appropriate amount.
But if you want to (re)learn and/or have your own ride for when you take your kids riding? That's probably the best 20bucks you'll ever spend.

$20 Burton board is a steal

Was very cool running into you and your crew on the gondola at night skiing Saturday! Keep up the great work!

90% rider 10% board

We gotta appreciate these camera men more in videos like these, cause gosh dang that must be hard as heck to board, and record😭🔥

Same in thing happened in wakeboarding, everyone wanted stiff boards, until cable riders realised flex was better and all the boat riders adapted.

Hope more people do board reviews like this.

board ❌ placebo ✅

These long form videos are amazing!

Either you can ride or you can’t. Same with surfing. Burtons and Sims were awesome back in the early days of snowboarding.

Should try a new $150 board from eg. Amazon no name brand versus the yonex $2000 board. That would be a better test. The old board is still a Burton so even at its age should be better than a true “cheap board”

I got a $25 flow rush 2013 on eBay. Its edges were a little rusty but after a nice tune up it’s working great! I believe it launched at $550 so I feel pretty good (although I am aware that it is pushing 13 years old atp)

shoulda mentioned something about the sintered base. i bought a new board thinking itd be fast, but it was extruded and slow even though it was new/light. for speed, what matters most is if its a sintered base, not the age/weight of the board.

I think I like this video so much, compared to others,
because the others give me too much info at once (without examples)
and not enough examples to understand and absorb the info.
