Angry Birds GO!!! (tm) was a game that was good, allegedly. Then it became garbage doo-doo butter thanks to a string of failures that the developer, Rovio, committed.

Baby, Angry Birds used to be great, GREAT!!! it was the very thing that started my downward spiral to become a nerd -- not even Touhou, nor Sonic, nor Mario nor Spy x Family could do the same for me. Colorful birds, green pigs and ham, and marketable toys started the trend for me! :(

Hi hello hola, I can't believe I am making these Angry Birds videos yearly, but Angry Birds GO was definitely an ✨icon✨ that I just had to talk about, as it was genuinely one of my favorites when I was younger. (That and the Telepods -- no one talks about how good they were!!!)

I will likely do a few more Angry Birds stuff in the future if I find something juicy... well, the ending clip was juicy enough for me, so that's a defininte YES!
If you really want, I might be able to do another one in 2024 :0000

Angry Birds did the same mistake like many would do before and after it:
-They make a game/series that goes viral.
-They "go corporate" even when they have neither the power or resources to do it.
-They milk their success to the point they are extracting bone calcium.
-They are bankrupt sitting on the corner questioning who made them fail.

i remember spending like $300 dollars off my dad's card on this game because i didn't know that buying credits in the game was as easy as tapping a button

The winter world was in fact released in the winter, because here in Finland (home of rovio) spring does not exist

what i hated the most about the 2.0 update was not only the monetization, but that was the point where everything was screwed up, because it got to a point where you had to pay until you could play a race, i saw how the whole community was angry and they even released patches to remove that or mods to improve the game which most of them canceled

It sucks what Rovio has done to the Angry Birds series. ):
AB Classic will always stay a special place in my heart.
(I had never played AB Go! Version 2.0)

As a veteran angry birds fan myself, i agree with everything said lol
I remember getting so pissy at the 2.0 update for entirely blowing the multiplayer mode (it used to be my favorite and played it all the time with my siblings), and rovio aloof about the backlash

I played all versions of ABG but every time I got to Chuck's boss race, his special power was glitched, which made him really slow, making the race really easy to win. In the player pov, all other racers were slower, but specifically in chuck's boss race the game gets confused and applies the slow on himself

Fun fact. I’m pretty sure the reason why Rovio got rid of the old Angry Birds games was for a stupid reason. Basically, it’s because people were not playing the newer games and instead played the old ones.

i used to play the classic a lot when i was a child trying to get all stars and gold eggs and each world such nostalgia i even played mario kart wii a lot too i was very good that i got rosalina glad you have good childhood

Also, there was a country known as Belgium that bans Gacha games/games with lootboxes because it is believed to encourage gambling towards kids, so Mario Kart Tour falls under that category, therefore it's banned on that country. I'm glad you made an analysis video explaining how it was like, and how it is now. Mobile games nowadays are just as sucky as YouTube content farm channels, they have no soul, no charm, no spirit, just want your money. Angry Birds was a passion franchise that slowly evolved into a greedy franchise. The old games were great treasures, which were now forgotten or hidden gems. History has repeated itself like how PVZ was great and the franchise slowly evolved into a mess. I'm glad that this video tells what I'm missing from the original game.

Thanks for talking about this game! It's a shame that Rovio couldn't keep with the free 2 play market and ended up like now.
Go! always was somewhat grindy (the original version also had energy bars for every character) but the 2.0 update definitely ruined the game.
I hope you eventually review the other spin-offs, AB Stella always has been one of my favorites. It's usually disregarded as "Angry Birds for girls" but the game had so many creative mechanics, and both itself and the animated series were crafted with such passion that I can forgive its weird implementation of microtransactions.
