Excellent demo as always. The 64 step sequencer does seem like an oddly limiting choice by the folks at Roland! Also on the swing point, there is a swing option on the sequencer screen there, just under the tempo setting. Not sure how that'd work if you're using different step resolutions though (as in, if your steps are 8th notes, I don't know if the shuffle would actually change anything).

Still an awesome device though! If the Fantom-0 successor can be powered via USB, I'd be very tempted. Would be great to have a proper little arrangement view, but I can imagine that might eat into Fantom-0 sales.

Nice chord progression. The transpose function you've mentioned would be probably the one in JD-Xi.

The world might forever wonder, back when I was shopping for my first keyboard, IF I had seen this demo, I might have invested in the Juno D or some other model of synth, instead of my choosing an arranger keyboard (not that I'm suddenly feeling any buyer's regret, now). 🤔

I enjoyed the new Keyboard but I also realised that there are alot of tradeoffs ! I sold my defunct Juno G and Kept my FA06 for a better linear sequencer + supernaural engines and afford this cheaper Juno D instead of Fantom 06. The big + is the Zencore architecture wich could turn this instrument into a deep monster editing tool + the expendability (Roland Cloud) . But for the rest...lack of sampling capability (SAMP in edit but no functionning MSAMP?), not being able to program the sliders just like the knobs makes me think is there going to be a future update ?

I discovered the D6 by watching your very informative videos... So I bought it And I'm thrilled with it !
Since I see you have connections with the Roland team, one improvement you could suggest would be the ability to seamlessly switch between scenes in sequencer mode. This would allow for the creation of entire pieces with different parts! Unfortunately, when the sequencer is playing and you switch scenes, it stops.

The limitations are maddening.  However, it has class compliant USB MIDI and audio.  This means you can connect to an iPad running Logic or Cubasis with a single  cable for 2-way communication.  This is the most economical multitimbral ZenCore keyboard.

I was considering the Go Keys 5 or Juno D6. I ended up getting the Juno because of the sound library and interface.

It sounds amazing and it can do so much with layers. As a straight instrument, it’s very nice. The sequencer might be a weak point, but the conductivity is golden. Very convenient.

I use the sequencer for basic Live Loops.

A flush fit usb for jamming to backing tracks that it organizes very well.

And an IPad daw for more complicated recording and playback.

Great demo! I think, though, that what you were showing with the track switching isn’t really the same seamless sound switching. In a scene, all 8 tracks are loaded at all times (hence the ability to have layers, splits, and multi-part sequences). Seamless sound switching would refer to the sound holding on during a change from scene to the next.

Greetings.....May I have a response to my little question regarding the absence of a full sequence engine to work a song out at least on this unit.  You never mentioned the use of a separate DAW in your laptop might be very useful.  W H Y
