Excellent episode! I am glad to see that you are still using Juno-D 6

I like my Juno-D, I am glad to see more content that show how to use that great tool! I am considering making a quick video just to show that, yeah, it’s not only PCM, it also have in insane virtual analogue engine in the back.

Almost everyone states that Fantasia is the classic D-50 sound, but in most records Staccato Heaven is used.

Awesome! I get some inspiration from here!

Excellent! Thanks Woody.

Very nice . Very

Thank you for this tip and really nice composition. I really wish they'd give us 16 bars versus 8 bars in the pattern sequencer with a firmware upgrade so I can duplicate my workflow on my trusty old DS76.

I love this board but don't have it.  It's a nice affordable cross between the DS and the JP80

Any chance you could make a video for newcomers to synths, specifically the juno d, to show in slow time how to make a basic drum track and how you build scenes and use them.

Hello Woody I know it's you. 😊

Очень красивые звуки,вы их загрузили в инструмент или они встроенные?
Я не могу их найти..👍👍🙂

Hello,
I have owned a Roland Juno-D7 for about a week, and first of all, I would like to thank you for the excellent tutorials you share on YouTube. They are, in my opinion, among the clearest and most professional available.
I have one question that I haven't been able to solve. Would it be possible for you to make a detailed video explaining how to use the Phrase Pad from beginning to end, especially how to create phrases, build scenes, save everything correctly, and recall them later?
Every time I turn my keyboard off and then back on, all the Phrase Pad and scene work I've created seems to disappear. I am sure I have missed an important step, but I can't figure out what it is.
I understand a little English, but some technical explanations are difficult for me to follow. Unfortunately, here in France, there are currently no tutorials that explain this instrument as clearly as yours.
If you could make a tutorial dedicated to the Phrase Pad workflow and, above all, to saving and recalling projects, it would help me enormously—and I believe it would also help many other Roland Juno-D users.
I don't need a complete tutorial about the Juno-D7. Your existing videos already cover most of the instrument perfectly. The only topic I still struggle with is the complete Phrase Pad workflow, especially saving and recalling my work.
Thank you very much for your time and for everything you share with the music community.
Best regards,
Jean Raymond

Briliant! And what about adding arpeggio, did you try it? With limited number of steps in sequencer, it would be awesome to have option for arpeggio to be recorded exactly as played on keybed and subsequently played in arpeggio by machine itself. So we could build longer compositions with few chords recorded but played as rich arpeggio patterns. You know what I mean? Such a small option would make this synth a beast! Just one checkbox in scene or system setup in next firmware update would be gamechanger.

Great video. Thanks. I’ve been recreating this on my D6 (hope you don’t mind). However, your Juno Str 3 tone sounds a bit thicker than mine. …even with the filter cutoff altered. What else did you alter on that tone? Thanks.

Nice arragement, Woody 😊Are there any differences of the sequencer to the Phantom06 - Is it more capable than the Juno D?

The JunoDS already had an 8-measure sequencer, why would they degrade it? And it was a pattern sequencer, play whatever you want in. But the DS did not output the sequencer MIDI channels out the 5pin MIDI output. Does the JunoD at least output the sequencer MIDI channels to run outboard gear?

Woody how do you start with a blank slate on the sequencer and assign sounds to each track before recording?

The Juno D6 isn't worth the money IMO. Instead, I’d buy a Roland A-49 or A-88MKII MIDI keyboard controller and pair it with an MV-1 Verselab. Thanks to Zencore, you have everything you need. The big advantage of the MV-1 over the Juno D6 (and the MC-707 and MC-101) is Song Mode.

The fx is all postfader. 🤣🤣🤣
