Mr Kobayashi doesn't often appear, but when he does it's mind-blowing!

Marco's come so far after we converted him into our cult 4 years ago.

We are so proud of him.

Mr Kobayashi, I think I speak for all of us when I say this:"Thank you for being the OST Ace of Aces"

Every Ace Combat game has had a stellar soundtrack. AC8 did not disappoint

Marco really made the POG face for 20 whole seconds when Kobayashi San appeared on the screen 😂

"What kind of memorable scene will it create in your hearts?"

I literally haven't stopped thinking about that mission since I finished the game.

That's so sweet and inspiring, to have Kobayashi-san giving Marco a callout. So proud of you, Marco!!

That video message from Keiki Kobayashi to Marco was amazing, what a awesome thing to do.

It's crazy how different Everflow was by then

Hortus Regis Alti is personally my most favorite track in the entire franchise. The song itself is amazing, but the lyrics are just perfect given the context which elevates the song to generational heights imo.

I just realized that Marco is the D.D. Of Ace Combat.

Acknowledgement from Keiki Kobayashi is crazy! Congratulations, Marco!

Cutting off Hortus Regis Alti like that is a bigger war crime than anything anyone has ever done in the Ace Combat series

@zenny1337 2 days ago

See, that’s what makes Marco the best. He was able to pick up on the underlying theme of Hortus Regis Alti without the full song OR the context the game provides. A true professional! Also, if Hortus Regis Alti isn’t performed live at the game awards this year, I’m gonna be pissed 😂

Hortus Regis Alti being the original song for the nomadic folk of Sotoa, and that becomes as the base for the Lunae squad's battle cry "Shadows" is a very cool idea.

@M.O.O.N-EX 2 days ago

Hortus Regis Alti is genuinely my favorite track in the entire game. Combined with the context of the Shadows chant you get such a rich culture and the true idea of what the Sotoans are fighting for and it’s genuinely glorious.

With the benefit of hindsight, since we know this is pre-launch, it was really thoughtful they didn’t let show the chorus of hortus regis alti since it contains a massive contextual spoiler (it’s where the shadows’ war chant leitmotif comes from) and any music-savvy person listening to the shadows track immediately after that will connect the dots very quickly and start asking why the emotional sad song has the ENEMY motif in it.

The shadows war chant alludes to the promised land almost like it's their 'valhalla' where they will go to if they fall in battle. The mythical/religious undertone behind that chant is only revealed once you hear hortus regis alti with lyrics at the end

It's oddly fun to know that the AC community and Bandai themselves recognizes that music in AC is one of the most prominent factor, closing in to gameplay

I mean, 'no crap it does', but like, you could never see this level of appreciation of music for like.. I dunno, Final Fantasy?? GTA?? Those are just titles I used shot in the dark, but hopefully you get what I meant
