Just a quick video I chucked together following a morning ride out with Fred on some green lanes! He went for the full day out, but I cut it short as my parents were visiting.

The main trail we did was one we tackled before on the old F650GS I had before upgrading to the 1150. However this time round we did it backwards (up the hill), and it was much more slippery...

The R1150GS has a dry clutch, so I had to be extra careful not to burn it out... I made sure to let it rest for a while between sections so the clutch never got too hot, but not a trail I’ll be hurrying to repeat on this bike!

After filming this video and doing a bit of soul-searching, I realised a 260+kg BMW with tall gearing and a dry clutch isn't what I want when it comes to trails, and have since reluctantly parted with the bike.
