We went in May 2024, if my stay had something to complain about it would be HOW QUIET IT ACTUALLY IS! It was adorable, elegant, classy and lovely.

This resort is next level. Anyone giving it a 1star review must not be fun to hang out with.

I actually agree with the person that said that some of the staff seemed to have an attitude or didn't genuinely seem like they wanted to interact. They all acknowledge you with the little hand gesture thing but its with no emotion on the face...like they don't really want to do it. Even when we were greeted in the restaurants, it was the driest "hola" or "buenos dia" I have ever heard in my life. It wasn't everyone but it was enough for me to research if other people experienced the same thing OR if it was dude to my skin color. Again, not all bad but it was enough to make me think.

Just came back from there, and we love it

Thank You!

We just returned from a 4 night stay at this resort in April '25. We too were concerned about the water bottles. Every water bottle that we received (in-hand) had a nice tight seal and had a loud crisp snap when opening them.  Nothing appeared to be tampered with or "reglued closed" like your see in the movie: SlumDog Millionaire.
The only time that I had suspicions otherwise, was when sitting for a meal and the waiter would carry the bottles of water over himself, open and fill everyone glass at the table for them. 1 bottle would fill 2 glasses at the table so I understand why the waiter would pour them for everyone BUT: When the waiter opened the bottles to pour them, I didn't hear the crisp snap of the tamper seal. It made me suspicious but to give them the benefit of doubt, we are in a noisy restaurant and not in a quiet hotel room. On the second round of refills, I noticed that one of the bottles he was carrying had a different color cap on it (red while the others were blue). The tamper seal on that red capped bottle DID have the proper matching red tamper ring and the blue capped bottles he was carrying also had the proper color rings, but again I did not hear the crisp snap when they were opened and poured by the waiter. After that, I always asked the waiter for our own unopened bottle so we could pour them ourself. This was not an issue for them. All the bottles we requested and received during the remainder of our trip were fine.
Maybe I'm overthinking this because I know that we cannot get 100% assurance of pure water in everything we drink while on vacation, after all there is ice in your all your drinks whether it's cubes in your soda or blended in your Pina Colada. Also don't forget about the water used in the coffee you drink and in the on-tap sodas from the bar.
We had an excellent stay at the Ziva / Zilara resort and we would not hesitate to return.

BTW, we love your channel and your reviews👍 We checked them out before we went and found them very accurate after our stay.

I going there next week, fingers crossed

Thank you for the honest review! We are going in Oct 2025 and can’t wait!
