Waitlist for my upcoming Jobava course: alexbanzea.com

Every time I watch one of Alex's videos i immediately want to play. Thanks for ruining my sleep pattern like no other youtuber. My favourite chess channel by far, keep it up!

What I like most? Your figurative language. There is always something new 😊 „This knight is like the keys to your new apartment in the city.“ 😂 Great. Thank you.

I liked the titanic joke

I'm in love with the dramatic pause before "following game"

Can you tell my opponents to make other moves please

honestly you are much better at explaining strategy and theory than most Chess youtubers.

The explanation in your videos is very clear. Often chess videos will stop afyer saying, OK here's the structure/position. Your videos explain and show how to think about the positions rather than blindly following some setup. I went and tried this after watching the video and won in 4 moves...I felt a bit guilty. I'm seriously thinking to try one of your courses. Cheers!

I love how he's got the wooden spoon next to him ready to go.  Alex is so funny.  Only 54k subs is a travesty.  If he did more commentary and guess the Elo and other Gotham type shit he would have 1 million.

I have been dominating openings with this. I have either won by rage quits or lost by blundering down the road. Several I've blundered my queen and still won. Those feel the best.

Going to visit the titanic 😂😂
U had to make that joke

2:49 Activity > unnecessary material
3:42 Trade when up material
4:51 Recapture toward center
5:38 Trade pawns to unlock the game
7:04 Double up rooks on open file
7:20 Rooks on 7th
11:13 e3 before Kf3
13:13 Always take with the queen
13:45 Castle long to defend b pawn
25:30 bring your king in the endgame
26:46 Active defense < passive defense
32:16 Meet Bd6 with Ke5 or e3
35:14 Trade pieces with simlar activity

Alex this video was incredibly instructive, your humor is just getting better and your analogies are hilarious.

you really prepped a wooden spoon for Bd6😂
thats a great memory hook.
I‘ll never retreat my bishop again!

Thanks that u respect our appeal. That ur sound is quite low. Now we can hear fine and match is going not too slow its so nice. Thank u very much.

Your English is great, don't worry. And I love watching you play and love your funny explanations. 😂 Good stuff!

That’s what she said…
