Waitlist for my upcoming Jobava course: alexbanzea.com

Came here for chess, stayed for more success with women

Watching this video my rating increased by 69% and I got a Gf thanks Alex

I watch your videos because you're a great teacher, but mostly for the hilarious analogies you always come up with

By FAR the best chess teacher on YouTube.  Clear explanations, good analogies and always happy to review your choices and learn from them.  The fact you repeat openings enough times for us all to see patterns and to help us remember moves is very much appreciated.  Don't stop doing what you're doing - and please don't ever evolve into the clickbaiting type some other popular chess commentators have changed in to!

The added boards are a really good addition! Its crazy how much your videos helped me, I was stuck at 512 to 968 in just 1 month thanks to your caro-kan and jobova openings!

46:45 "OK boys and grills" 😂 you have a way with words Alex!

That game 1 is one of the most astonishing sights I've seen.

I come here for the Jobava and Caro-Kann wisdom but also the humor. "Handing a gun to a bonobo"! 🤣

28:48 Bb5! and you defend your horsie indirectly

So far, i love the jobava and I started it because of one of your videos. i like it because i don't have to memorize 30 different lines for each position placement. I'm great at thinking and analyzing. I am TERRIBLE at memorization.

i even open with d6 as black when white opens with e4, then k-f6 and third bringing out the bishop. sort of an abbreviated-jobava for black with a less extended e-pawn, but i'm sure it has a different name.  pretty cool that i have basically the same opening whether i am white or black and i can do basically the same playstyle with both. i feel like it's making me learn the game/system twice as fast as if i only played it as white.

All the comments about falling asleep had me cracking up. I started watching your (and some other chess teachers) videos to fall asleep too, but damnit now I’m just into chess! I suck, but thanks to these and the Caro Kann videos I’m slowly getting better.

Bro just created an accidental asmr video.

This handsome chess master has such a nice and relaxing teaching style that helps us learn and enjoy chess. ❤ 😊
Thank you.

So glad the gamble came up in game 2. I’ve been in that position and fell behind with my attack because I was worried about those checks. Nice to see how easy it is to get the king back to safety!

Weak pawns early in the game.   The king bishop pawn (which I call the cabin boy) and queen bishop pawn, the latter subject to knight attack.   The third is the queen knight pawn, subject to bishop attack.
I wrote this out to help me remember.

I really like it when you show how to deal with non-standard replys. You've lots of videos on d4 d5 games. Videos like this really help for the rest of blacks replys.

Pure goodness.

You and the analogies 😂 i watch this videos  to find out what you come up with. Keep them updated  pleaee.

Thanks Alex! Once again, fun to watch and good to learn new things. Thanks for the motivation, you make chess even more enjoyable :D
