That ending alone should be studied... who in the world weaves the Fibonacci sequence into a metal song and ends it with that divine climax? I'm out of words...

No exaggeration, I think this is one of the best songs I've ever heard. When you listen to the album, by the time you get here you have already had an amazing existential journey. This song is track 9 on a cd, or the end of side 3 on vinyl. By the time you have listened to the entire album in sequence, something has transformed, you're not exactly the same person.
Lateralus is one of my Top Ten albums of all time. Its a masterpiece, it can stand next to anything anyone could name.

You don't listen to Tool music, you experience Tool music. Spiral out ✌️

You can listen to every Tool album non stop for the rest of your life and never tire of them. No other artist or band can do that for me. Crazy

One of my favorite parts of this song is that the beginning "centers" you. It brings you to your heartbeat, something arguably center to your being.

It prepares you to Spiral Out.

human babies see at first in black and white, then comes red and yellow colors, so it's not only the syllables in the fibonacci sequence but the lyrics too, total evolution

My brain is buffering....Yup. 30 years and they still get me every time. Thank you for giving live reactions and then discussing instead of stopping during song.

oohhhh I love her comment...."It's quiet now but I feel the heavy lurking somewhere" what a great line for a song.

TOOL is the light and the dark. The soft and the rough. TOOL is everything.

Everytime I get chills right before he sings “Feel it move across your skin”. That’s genius to be able to write a song that gives you that sensation and have lyrics to explain what’s happening to you
