A bulkhead delete, mud seat rails, smaller steering wheel and moving the handbrake to the left of the drivers seat will transform the driving experience comfort wise.

Im 57 yo just returned to the uk , my last weekend car was a 1999 SL500 , my daily was a 3.0 03 ford ranger, ive just bought my very first defender,57 plate 90 county, like yours but with no ac 2 previous owners 138k epsom green, £15k , had to get both swivel housings done so did the stub axles, bearings ect £1200 , valve cover gasket i did myself, did oil and filters ect  myself, i checked dif fluids ect all brand new , i absolutely love it 😂, i noticed the split at the top of your passenger door , my drivers door was the same 😮 fixed it with some home made brackets self tappers and steel stick , the doors are in great condition apart from that , it has 12 months mot , advisory's are 4 tyre's showing signs of cracking and rear cross member showing signs of rust but not structural so we shall see how it goes , on the Plus side the chassis and body underneath look amazing as someone has been in there woth the lanaguard

I bought my 2001 TD5 90 hardtop in 2012 and 70,000 miles for £8k.  Took it to Portugal soon after.  She lives in my garage when it rains and never on a salted road since I bought her. Only drives off-road on dry dusty mountain roads.  No rust anywhere.  Pretty much stock.  Just had a complete suspension overhaul.  90k miles now.  My little green minter.

Defenders have by the nature of what they are and what replaced them, been over priced due to how good they are when they are doing what they do best. Something I don't think we'll be saying about the thing that shares the same name that is nothing more than a Chelsea Tractor these days.
I was sad when we had to had over our Section V8 (Army) to get a New Defender Wolf as they were called for a short while before we kept getting corrected to the proper name, which after all theses years has been obscured from the fogs of my mind. I was however really impressed with how it went and the fact that I could in the right conditions powerslide it. I then just missed the sound of the V8.
You'll get good results form Lanoguard, going be what I have seen of it. Not used it myself, it has to be topped up annually for the best protection by all accounts.
She certainly has had a life and bring it back to its former glory will give us some good content to watch as has the other vehicles you have. Enjoy the shake down process and may there only be the issues you know about.

Nice price ! As a french owner, I bought mine (110 - 2001 - TD5 - 100 000 miles) 1 year ago for 7000 £ but with a lot of work on the rear crossmember, the bulkhead, the engine and the body (completely repaint it with Raptor). 7 minths of work, but a real pleasure ! I enjoy her a lot now ! Have fun with yours !

Makes me cry that a cheap defender is still £8k, whislt my discovery 2  that is only 2 years older is only worth about £1k. Wish Id bought a defender 10 years ago when I had the chance, as I'll never be able to afford one now.

Wish I could get somewhere close to that money for my old defenders. The market is really on its arse at the moment.

Looks like a good buy. I would recommended changing the injector loom for one using sealed pins and possibly injector seals. Keep up the good work!

Not sure that this Lanoguard cover-up is ideal without first trying to do something about the existing rust - which looked deep on some items in your video. My method is to use a product called Exit Rust or Vactan, which are "rust converters" that I thin down with water and spray on using a misting pattern from a £1 plant sprayer. I personally do not use the Lanoguard as this is probably an ongoing yearly job.
