Imagine the utter hopelessness of having nowhere to park, getting fined for parking wrong, all while finding yourself living in Birmingham!

I get furious when some idiot parks on the pavement and I have to walk onto a busy road with my newborn in a stroller.

The thing is if you are disabled and need a wheelchair to get about pavement parking is downright dangerous

@OrangutanSquash 10 months ago

The problem is most of these places were built before most people had a car in their family, let alone one per person.

That harp plucking music shows we should regard pavement parkers as harmless and those who opposed it as mad.

What i find annoying is when i have to take the wheelchair into the road because of someone parking on the pavement, we then get idiots driving really close and shouting get on the pavement, i realise that sometimes you have to or it would restrict traffic flow but leave room for wheelchair users and prams.

If they had been fining all parking violations, Birmingham would not be bankrupt but they rather increase the council tax as it is easier to collect than fines.

18:16 he had to wait for her to bother showing up and parked like that it was just a warning?
That is pathetic and a waste of resources. She already knew she could not park there and then just a warning? What a joke.

im glad to actually see police taking these things seriously.... yes we all go on about the most dangerous criminals, but, traffic offences are one of the most serious that always seem to be gotten away with, speeders, no insurance, dangerous drivers, drug drivers etc etc

Anyone who parks on a pavement like that should have their vehicle towed 😡

And about time too, this needs to be all around the country, A-S-P.

As a Guide Dog owner it is a nightmare when people park on the pavements forcing us to walk into the road and traffic.

Research shows that whilst people will walk miles around a shopping precinct and holiday town, they can’t face walking from the car to their front door. The same people pay good money to work out or go dancing, but just can’t stand walking from the car. It’s weird, why is it?

Needs to come around here during the school pickup.

Society is becoming me, me, me and sod all others more every day. I am disabled and just a little consideration is all it takes. In my town it is a free for all. They just park where they want. We need much harsher consequences for those who believe they are above the rules.

I live in a terraced house and a couple of years ago a car was parked for 12 weeks on the pavement and across my front door making it very difficult to get in and out of my house. After 10 weeks of struggle I rang the non-emergency Police line and the only advice I was given was to put a note on the car window asking for it to be moved!!!

@tonydarby9096 10 months ago

Can you please tell the Met police to do the same. We are plagued with scooters and cars driving and parking on pavements. Mostly take away delivery people.

Junior PCSO, what a brilliant idea.

I've always had an issue with pavement parkers; I've been driving for 58 years and have never put my wheels on the pavement. What would happen if I put up a table and chairs and sat in the road; yes I know I'd get run over but drivers wouldn't like it, but there's no difference in doing that to parking on the pavement.
