I'm upset because now when I replay it I have a blast during the care center and a bit less so the basement. The second I leave the Care Center I just stop caring to continue playing as Grace's remaining sections possess no challenge and Leons 2nd half just bores me after I beat the spider. The depression has truly set in as it took almost 2 years for Village to start boring me on replays and this one hit that phase so much faster.

The RE community will enter it's "Post nut clarity" phase now.

Man , I hope the community feels the same soon and actually gives feedback to capcom to improve replaybility

It's the Resident Evil KFC Bowl

I think the biggest problem with the game (other than the bad ending) is that Grace's gameplay has you building her inventory, upgrading, collecting supplies and charms etc. And most of her inventory is rendered almost redundant after the halfway point because we never play as her in any meaningful or significant length of time after the first half. It prevents you from utilizing her arsenal to a fuller extent which feels unfulfilling.

Leon's second half felt like a poor man's RE4. Very little enemy variety, no side missions, no treasure system, shallow and rudimentary merchant type box and not much difficulty scaling from RC to the end (it felt as if the game got easier if anything).

What I played was very enjoyable, especially Grace's stuff, but that design choice didn't work for me and on my second playthrough I found it hard to be motivated to finish it because I know Grace's gameplay kinda goes nowhere. Genuinely not rage baiting but I would have preferred a more fleshed out scenario based separation.

I agree and some of the people praising this game now will likely have a different outlook on it in a few months.

Worst decision was not having a New game plus system similar to re4 remake

'Member berries, the game.

For me it was a huge disappointment since day  1. This game will age like milk

I remember we were supposed to drive around 'Racoon City'. Also I loved playing as 'Grace', but Leon's section was predictable. When I enter a room full of dead bodies on the ground, I knew those bodies were going to get up. When I saw Grace far below running around, I knew I would have a sniper section. the only good thing about that section is that it wasn't long. Also Racoon city was too contained for me. I was hoping for some good exploration, maybe even side-quests, but nope!

It's so jarring that half of the RE titles (RE7's Madhouse, RE2r's Hardcore S+ and RE4r Professional S+) reward genuinely mehcanically harder playthroughs and others like RE3r, RE8 and RE9 are easily exploitable with challenge points and grinding.

It was an aight game but the replay value is really nonexistent the whole not having a ng+ is what turned me off from this game. I haven’t touched this game in a month

I said it RIGHT at the Beginning....
RE Requiem is Good but has also MANY Flaws!

Still watching the video but I agree with what you’re saying. I spoke about the flaws early on yet people kept persisting it was a masterpiece. The success of the sold copies worries me too bcs I would personally not like RE to take this direction in the future

You nailed just about everything I feel about Requiem. All it is, is a very expensive amalgamation of every RE title we've seen in the last 12 years plus parts from the CGI films. To add more insult to the situation, there is no additional playable content or NG+. So, essentially, players are paying $80 for a rehash of every previous RE game and will have to pay for additional dlc. I also agree with your point about RC being uninspired. What was the point behind traipsing through the rubble of RC--this perfectly generic mess of wreckage? Nostalgia. Period.

For those who aren't Svengalied by anything RE, it's a ripoff for the price and a crashing disappointment for a 30th anniversary release.

I feel you brother. Every take you mention about Requiem is exactly what also my complains about the game.

Good vid bro

Yeah like a month after Requiem came out everybody just went right back to Resident Evil 4 remake and I'm like wow. I understand why because RE9 didn't have no content at all

I watched a video where some of the sectoons in Requim were almost shot for shot comparison moments from The Evil Within. Either Capcom cant beat the allegations or they were paying homage.

People who think resident evil requiem is overrated 👇

Good video mate.  Appreciate your honesty.  I played the og games last year including 1,2,3,4 and Code Veronica and most of them are better than the modern games in my opinion.  Back when games were made, additional game modes or new game plus are already included unlike modern games where they make you pay for dlc and this is where the modern Resident Evil games lose in this particular aspect vs old RE games.
