I could genuinely upload a wife swap breakdown everyday, these are so interesting to cover !! Lmk what you think of the people in this one donuts x

Financial abusing your wife VS abusing your daughter.

She works a part time job but doesn't have access to the money? It's absolutely a control issue that he uses against her. It's financial abuse

22:20 ... I kind of want Wilma to divorce her husband, adopt Lauren, and run away.

A grown woman, with a job, that makes her own money, being financially controlled like that and getting "pocket money" is absolutely appaling, honestly it's sounding more and more like financial abuse as the video goes.

Gosh I just wanna hug Wilma. I bet she never stopped thinking about that poor little girl.

5:14 as a girl that grew up like this idk why people don’t call it as it is cause it’s genuinely neglect

If a spouse is withholding funds, it is 100% financial abuse.

I bloody hope someone reported Lauren’s parents to social services. That child was at massive risk.

Crazy she says mark treats wilma as a slave when poor lauren is being treated the same

Everyone in this episode except Wilma and the kids is abusive. There's no point beating around the bush about it, the signs are obvious. Mark is extremely controlling and financially abusive. Wilma cried about using someone else's money because she had been financially and emotionally abused for years and as a result of that abuse genuinely didn't believe she was worthy of spending that money. She saw it as an issue of her doing something wrong by taking someone's else's money, even though it was explicitly a situation where the money was hers to spend. That behaviour doesn't come from someone just being really nice, it comes from serious psychological damage. Also the way she so casually said she'd be too scared to "splash out" was a red flag because his reaction to her spending has to be EXTREME for her to be too scared to dare to ask for more than £3.50 a week. As someone who's dealt with violent men myself, I feel like there could definitely have been violence going on behind the scenes from Mark. Trevor and Sharron were obviously just completely neglecting Lauren for probably her entire life. It's just another disgusting case of how social services do absolutely nothing to actually protect vulnerable children a lot, if not most, of the time. Because how the hell was that allowed to happen? And not only happen but be openly televised as if it was just a different parenting style instead of literal child abuse?

My ex husband didn't work or look after the house or our kid.
I was only allowed $10 a month for me. Finance control is absolutely painful.

Poor Wilma and poor Lauren… they’re the true victims of this story. Ryan too bc he has to grow up with his dad as an example, hope he didn’t learn a thing from him.

I swear down it's illegal to leave a 9 year old home alone, isn't it? Either way, those two absolutely should not have had custody of any child. Straight up neglect.

If you arent prepared to get up, be a parent and act like you're fine when secretly dying from a hangover, you shouldn't be going out at all.

What makes me the most mad is the parents that party and don't pay attention to the daughter. Men drinking and she's alone in the house..hmmm what could go wrong? She could be molested and she'd never tell you.  She doesn't trust you.  Absolutely disgusting.

Poor Lauren, she is being taught that she's not important to her parents and will live with cripplingly low self-esteem. Its very sad 😔. Neglect is a type of a*buse and these people should be ashamed.

This poor woman is being completely financially abused by her husband, I can say that because I was financially abused by my mum and younger brother for years! It stays with you for life.

THE DONUTS ALWAYS EAT

Financial abuse. Child abuse. Wife swap is an actual horror show.
