Grace found someone to be brave for

He’s a teacher. That’s what makes him happy. Why wouldn’t he want to teach on Erid? And he told the scientists that she did the right thing by forcing him to go. He saved the world. He met Rocky. None of that would have happened if she didn’t make the hard decision.

Addison is the only human being who saw the movie and didn't think "we gotta go save rocky". This shook me. That's diabolical. 😂 That's demon behavior.

Best movie I've seen in years, no contest

The point of the movie was that Grace found someone he could be brave for. When faced with life ending situations, the one thing that saved Grace was Rocky. Also, war generals have always had to make those though decisions of sending soldiers to certain death. It doesn't make it right at all but it is a known reality.

Stratt said it wasn't hard asking people to die because there was really no other choice in order to avoid extinction.

She had no choice but to force Grace to go for the same reason. She had the weight of the fate of the human race all on her shoulders.

When you said you hadn't even seen a trailer, I lit gasped in delight lol <3

It wasn't just Rocky that would have died but Rocky's whole planet would have died as well. Grace saved both planets with his decision.

I’m sorry Adison, but no one on Earth is going to care that he was forced to go against his will…. He literally saved humanity! And Eva sending him also saved humanity..

Also, you are the only person I have seen who said, “Nah, screw the rock and his entire planet/species - I’m going home.” 🥺 Felt a bit like you missed the entire point of the movie..

Adrian because they is Rocky's girlfriend in the movie "Rocky"

38:46 The rock bracelet was just a trinket that meant "oxygen", telling Grace he put it in the air for him. Oxygen has 8 protons and it's molecular form that we breathe is 2 oxygen atoms bonded together. So the trinket has two connected circles with 8 rocks each.

Grace was the highest trained scientist left. No one else in that room was a microbiologist. Stratt really had no choice. Grace was ashamed when he remembered that he had to be forced to go. They showed that in his curling up in a ball and telling Stratt in a message that she was right.  In the book, this is how he processed remembering he had to be forced on the mission:
"I’m not some intrepid explorer who nobly sacrificed his life to save Earth. I’m a terrified man who had to be literally dragged kicking and screaming onto the mission. I’m a coward. All that came to me in a flash. I sit on the stool and stare at the lab table. I went from nearly hysterical to…this. This is worse. I’m numb. I’m a coward." By deciding to go save Rocky he saved two civilizations instead of just one. He always had the ability to send the probes back. Grace was a teacher - he loved the idea of teaching an entirely new species.

Yes!!!! I wish the guys were here for this one!!! They are missing out

Note: Adison would choose to live on earth over saving an entire species and planet.

“You need someone to be brave for,” Yao told Grace. Rocky gave Grace someone to be brave for.

This movie is incredible, what an excellent surprise movie reaction.

First space movie that the alien wasn’t against us, where the science didn’t bore me, where there was humor and love, where the excitement didn’t come from terror like a monster, and where I was rooting for the human and the alien.

Said that after sitting through almost that whole movie you still consider a life force and a friend just a rock.

1:22:33 you on that rock solo, bro lol. You can take that trip back. Majority of us staying put. Screw Earth.

Addison you get on my nerves sometimes 😂😂😂
