I bought Himi, for off road travel, as beginner i am stunned what i am able to do with like all you did in video a bit less wet. I put Mitas trail Xt on front and back wheels
Well......your green lane test on the 411 Himalayan years back really helped sell it to me, I use it a lot. Now you just convinced me that the new Himalayan 450 is the way to go....just can't afford one right now. Great test
Love your honesty, so many people wouldn't admit their initial thoughts had been wrong, but you always do. Fair play, top man. Interestingly I found the exact same thing, that I agreed with your take when I took it on easy off road, but when I took it on the tougher stuff, the bike seemed to really come to me then and rise up to meet the challenge.
Spot on my friend, I went with the Himmy December 2023, then the 450MT released for the same price & I so much wanted a 270 crank twin but stayed with the Himmy which arrived here in Oz in May. I could have been happy with the CF, as I wanted a Travel/Camping bike & the Himmy does that too. I have a KLX400r for the tougher stuff. I'm now 66 and want to travel and explore places I haven't seen or haven't seen since I was in my 20s. And I can't kill myself doing it, so the Himmy is fit enough to get me out of trouble if needed. Both great bikes.π Cheers from DownUnder π
Great comparison video! I am not currently in the market for either of these bikes. I'll be keeping my 411. But, your input has confirmed my suspicions. And, in the event I find a used 450 Himalayan in the future.... it will probably make its way into my garage. Royal Enfield are doing it so well!
Well done on getting up and down on both bikes. Appreciate your modesty and fair play around dealing with difficult conditions. THanks for sharing your insights
This was amazing to watch. I have only seen another video "Is The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Good Off-Road" by OnTheBackWheel, pushing the Himi to very hard environments, stuff I wouldnt do now. Before today, I have seen dozens of video reviews on very simple tracks. Again, thank you. it is comfortable to know the himi is capable. Now it is up to me push my skills up.
Great video. You earned a subscriber. I got the Himalayan and rode with some guys on the 450MT. I don't know if it was experience or what, but I made the trails look easy. Mud, curvy roads, comfort with the OEM street oriented tires. Brillaint bike. I'm thinking about changing to Karoo 4 for more off road capability and the torrential rain we get. I hope it doesn't mess me up in the curves
