Looks like an excellent piece of kit, phone in your pocket is the safest place for it for many reasons. At that price it’s a no brainer really. Excellent and honest review Gary.
On another subject, I hope you don’t mind me asking and changing the subject of your video. Regarding your tent, I am currently in the market for one and I was wondering with all your solo experience to date have you ever thought you needed more room. Looking at the end of season sales currently there is little difference between the Omega 250 and the 350, hence my question. Many thanks and well done again on this product review.

They sent me one free to try out too over a year ago. Stuck it on my Harley Fat Bob, been through all sorts of wet weather and it still works a treat. A very good bit of kit. I got a USB splitter from Amazon and that did the job for me. Cheers.

Whilst I am NOT against this type of unit, for the RARE occasions that I need directions I just use my phone. My phone works perfectly and the battery lasts all day easily.

£74 ...Always love reading comments on reviews. I have a Garmin Zumo XT myself had just over 3yrs been faultless.Linked to ignition locked when do garage or cafe just robust and easy to use and processes so quick.. Every few weeks connect to Wifi leave it updating as free. just looked £290 for a Garmin Gary... so be no free Garmin 🤣

Very good review, can’t beat the price, I personally don’t see the benefit over a phone, I prefer non phone based navigation like Tom Tom for longer trips.

This may be a daft question but why wouldn’t you just use your phone with a water proof cover? I find when I go camping my phone stays charged as I ride and I presume connected to that the phone battery dies away being connected? What do you think?
