Every coaster manufacturer has their highs… and their lows. From B&M and Intamin to RMC, Mack, and more, I’m revealing my personal favourite and least favourite ride from 11 of the biggest names in the industry.

Expect world-class airtime, jaw-dropping launches, and smooth masterpieces — but also rough head-bangers and rides I’d happily skip next time. Some of these picks might surprise you… and I guarantee you won’t agree with all of them!

👉 Which coasters would make YOUR best and worst lists? Drop your thoughts in the comments — I’d love to compare.

I was lucky to study civil engineering at Bolton . The PM for Watson Steel on the big one was an ex student . He told us it was basically an American coast built on stilts . He put on a video from the designer from arrow . Fantastic times. We lived on the hill about Bolton wanders stadium then an old train yesterday . They test built sections there before sending them to Blackpool airport for a second test build. Best it was his dad was PM on the revolution

Great video as usual Chris! I think u might find two Gerstlauer’s at Walibi Belgium that might beat or at least compete with Anubis…! A bobsled would fit perfectly in pleasure beach 🙌🏻👌🏻

I think the Sky Rocket I model is just the one that exists at Kennywood. Really odd progression of model names, since the rides are not even the slightest bit similar.

Fun video!

Mecalodon at walibi belgium is a really smooth and great family airtime coaster from gerstlauer. It opened this year

one thing i like about B&M is that they're willing to take risks, especially with prototypes. Taking a risk does mean that a coaster could be bad but it also means that they could be absolutely amazing. Sorta like the dreamworks of manufacturers if that makes sense. Ofc they have gone a bit downhill cuz every new coaster they make is shaky as hell.

The Sky Rocket 1, is the imaginatively named Sky Rocket at Kennywood.

What Gerslauer Coaster I really enjoy is Van Helsing's Factory on Movie Park Germany. Sadly, it's a roller coaster located at Movie Park Germany. The park has evolved for the better in recent years but there are still enough people left in the world who remember it as Warner Bros. Movie World. Long story shot, park was sold, lost all rights to the WB franchise, was left to rot and was sold again. New owner tries to invest into the park since 2012. Also, the park still has its SLC and one of the worst wooden coasters. Studio Tour, Van Helsing's and Operation Enterprise are some good coasters (with their water rides) the park has but Phantasialand is just an hour away and Efteling roughly two hours. And I heard Toverland is also stepping up their game to become a very noteworthy park in the Netherlands.

Love this video, great idea. I haven’t been on all the rides mentioned but agree with most…. Would love to get your thoughts on Zadra once you’ve been on it as I rate it even higher than Iron Gwazi.

Zamperla with TT2 and Hero. Talk about two ends of the spectrum. Wow

As a dutchman I have to say that Troy is amazing and in my opinion better than Joris and the Draak. However I'm happy to have two of the best wooden rollercoasters in the world within an hour of where I live

I wonder if you ever visit Hansa Park if your opinion of Gerstlauer will change. Also, what about Zierer and Gravity Group? 🙂

Man the arrow i would have completely reversed with loch ness best and Magnum worst! I am 6 ft tall so maybe that impacted things but I love the caves and projections inside of the caves in loch ness and the sense of speed, the unique lift hills, the audio... Magnum meanwhile I found incredibly rough and ended up not going on it even when it was a walk on ride. Love the content though!

My favourite intamin coaster is hyperion at energylandia the air time on that ride is insane and favourite rmc zadra at the same park can't wait to go back next year. If you go to Poland don't miss a trip to legendia as well vacoma has got an amazing coaster there called leck however you spell it it's amazing.

I am in agreement with your list Chris. You know my feelings on the Loch ness monster and that bloody accent. I'll lend you my sledge hammer the next time you're there mate. 🤣 As for slc's and infusion I've still got the bulldozer on standby. Dave

When did Vekoma turn things around so dramatically? Have you seen their tilt coaster at Qiddiya? The "Iron Rattler" It looks absolutely amazing!!

If Alton Towers fancy ditching Rita, or Galactica, and sinking something like that down in the ground I wouldn't complain....
