I imagine agent 8 playing this when it’s raining. The memories of Deepsea Metro still haunt her, but she learned to accept what happened and to let go. She’s begun to collect memories from her past, and is still very curious to find out more. She’s begun to make friends with Agent 3, but is still scared of her after all that happened. All she knows is that things will keep getting better after this.

So funny story here.
I originally got into Splatoon in late may. I started with the octo expansion (reverse order go brrr) and I did watch a lot of your lyric videos for the dlc.  At one point I picked up the whole OST and I would listen to the synth at the end of the final cutscene over and over. Aka, the original version of this song. Back in December, when I officially started a channel, I found your videos again! I subbed and now this video is here. The Koi arc has became full circle. Thanks for the amazing content.

Perfect, now I don't need to touch the replay button for another hour!

If this dosent play at my funeral, im not dying.

Here's a little story:
Today I had a strong discussion with the most important person in my life and in the end among everything I had in my head, I found this video of splatoon, I don't know how and when but splatoon always ends up being my way of leaving all the bad behind and reminds me how beautiful your community is, thanks for everything Splatoon ;)

“Life is a ship you never sail alone. You’ll never know when you’ll need all hands on deck for a storm.”

Thanks once again to Caitlin Koi and Demongummies for this masterpiece!
Everything from the subtle distortion effects, to the shifting instrumentation, to the adorable inkling cheers; I refuse to let this enchanting melody put me to sleep until the 1 hour mark!

🎵Eyes on me
🎵You have to save
🎵This place you'll live on
🎵You'll love, you'll love

🎵What's this in you?
🎵We have found you
🎵Call us up tomorrow
🎵End your enemy

🎵Follow the power
🎵She's got you now
🎵Take me up there
🎵You're low, you're low

🎵I will issue
🎵She will respond to
🎵Do you know those heaven hyms
🎵They were singing

(Still can't get your "lyrics" out of my head whenever I hear Ebb & Flow, they're such a good fit for this song in any form!)

hope you all enjoy the little changes we made for this hour loop version :) and thank you all for listening <3

ends

Me: what it's already an hour? it passed by so fast-

"...." As I sat on a rooftop, watching the sunrise, the song continued to play in my head over and over. But instead of the determination and energy I got from the Inkantation, this song felt.... Like everything I had left behind, all the terrors of the Metro, and that decision to keep my new name- was all worth it. Iwas finally free to live my own life, free from restraints and enemies.

I stood up from the ledge, giving one last look toward the view of Inkopolis, and smile.

I'm home.

"You failed....again"
"Are you okay 8?"
Says Pearl as she sees your tired body scrunched on the floor after trying that one test you've been dying to pass but never had the skill to do so.
You get up and she hugs you
"It's okay, everyone fails at one point, hey! Even I have! I remember when me and 'Rina haven't met yet. My singing career failed A LOT. But hey, enough of me, more of you; are you alright?"
You shake your head as tears well up in your eyes, your hair-like tentacles curl up in sadness
"Shh it's okay.... maybe ol 'Rina could do something about it, she's really good computers"
You sigh in disappointment but accept Pearl's offer anyway

A few hours later, it's 1 in the morning the blue light of Marina's laptop illuminating her face as you and Pearl doze off in their shared appartment
"I did it! The systems thinks you finished the task 8! Tomorrow you can move on to other tests!" Marina jumps waking Pearl up
"Jeez... not so loud!"
"Sorry Pearlie!" Marina giggles
You passed it? You dont know really. You thought to yourself while scratching your head
"Hey 8, wanna stay here with us tonight? We got an extra mattress, you could crash with us!" Pearl says while grabbing a glass of water from the small kitchen
You nod in agreement
"We should really go to sleep, its really late" Marina says while slowly walking away from her desk

You all soon go to sleep in Pearl and Marina's shared bedroom gaining some sleep befoe going on that horrid train and entering another furiously hard test, but hey atleast you know you have both Pearl and Marina on your side... right?

I think Agent 8 is surrounded by the “Test Failed.” Ink...

NICEEEEEE
Now I can do homework with our worrying when the song is going to end

This is mi second favorite song
Nice vids Caitlin Koi 😍

the first time i listened to this song was when I was 11 years old. it’s been 5 years now. Nostalgia hits so hard, especially when you’ve moved on from the Splatoon fandom. I might just get dragged back.

I'll never let you go, Agent 8. I fell in love with Splatoon because of you. Thank you.

It’s about time!
Anxiety has left the chat
Seriously though this is amazing! I love this-

i was listening to this with my dog and she fell asleep, this is so relaxing!
