You are quite correct. Star washers goes between the metal parts to create the pressure to lock up. If against the wood it will just chew the wood and not provide any lockup.
You said who needs two rifles? Wellβ¦.me, I have 83 soon to be 84, yes I know, I need help. I find your channel very helpful and informative, and always use it for reference when Iβm working on a gun. Look forward to the next instalmentπ.
Haha I love it when you drop stuff! That is just so me! Every time I have tune up, re-moly or change a spring, I always remind myself now its not just me that drops every nut, washer or pin everywhere. Nice video, love the styling on the Diana Diana 460/Mauser K98 but it does look very top heavy. Thumbs up from me for another entertaining and informative video, thanks!
Thanks nick for giving a demo of how to use that type of chronograph I have a new one and struggled with the instructions Another different video ππ
Was looking at one of these a while ago but ended up with the HW77. You have re-awoken my interest and I think I will have to go for it. If I can get it past the other half. She has a nice collection of rifles as well so I think a deal could be made. Excellent video Nick, thanks.
Ah yes, the K98 - my first air rifle. Mine does 24J on a stock spring and Barracuda 15's (I'm in Belgium) Had its fair share of parts breakages in the first few months that I owned it, but with a bit of tinkering these run very well. Don't bother with putting a scope on it. I can't get a decent cheek-weld even with the lowest of mounts, and the smooth butt-pad doesn't do that any favor either. Plinking at 60yds with the iron sights is great fun and what it does best. Wouldn't trade it for the world, very accurate and sexy air rifle.
Rules down here in Spain are a bit tricky when it comes to Air rifles, although those rules change from region to region, I have had to register all of mine with the local town hall and national police station, first getting a criminal record check and having a psycho analytical test.!! This is to gain an arms card 'tarjeta de armas, which in turn allows you to transport the rifle in your car, also, as I found out to my disappointment, hunting of any kind is not allowed with air. Just a tip for your friend.......
I hope you get over the man flu asap mate, that was a good fun video, the rifle is interesting, but not one I want, sticking to my 2003 HW97 though I will be putting a TBT kit in, maybe short stroke it. All the best to you and yoursπ
What if you donβt want a Weihrauch HW77/97 or an Air Arms TX200? The Diana 460/Mauser K98 is GREAT!
