First, last, and all others in between!

I want to add that Friedberg & Seltzer didn't write any thing for Scary Movie; they wrote a separate parody for Scream that was brought, only to be shelved. They did not contribute to Scary Movie in anyway.

So this is one of those movies where you’d want to be on set, but never actually watch it? That checks out.

It is hilarious to me the fact that the biggest selling point or “credibility” to these Friedberg/Seltzer Movie Movies was that they were “2 of the 6 writers of Scary Movie” when they had nothing to do with Scary Movie and only received credit on the film because they wrote a similar horror movie parody that Miramax was developing before they decided to buy the Wayans’ script.

11:41 As a Hispanic myself, I can testify on this. Thing is, we have a taste for juvenile, bootleggy, ghetto flavored content, especially since the general way these movies are structured appeals to the edge Spanish humor has. We even have more of a tendency to laugh at the crap factor and treat it as part of the experience. Stuff like White Chicks and the Friday movies for example are HUGE for us, and considering those movies have an African-American audience as well, I think they overlap here as well. Most of these movies are still guilty pleasures of mine, even as a tough critic....except for The Starving Games. THAT movie is SO terrible even WE hated it.

When the film has so many pop culture references that it keep getting in the way of what little story the movie had to offer.

At least everyone had fun making the film. That's the only real positive I can give it.

The sad thing is a parody of disaster movies sounds interesting, but Seltzer and Friedberg, as always, had to cram in as many pop culture references as they could.

To quote a Youtuber I looked into, this movie is basically the grease trap for whatever's popular enough to reference at the time.

Ah, yes, the dreadful Seltzerberg.
I remember them well.
Proceed with caution, dear Memento.

To be honest I swear I never thought these movies had this much effort put into them

These movies used to be fun even when they were terrible, but you could really tell by the end the creators weren't even trying anymore.  Everyone hated Meet The Spartans, but that was the last one I actually got a few chuckles out of.  Unlike most people, I'll usually sit all the way through a bad movie if for no other reason than to complete the experience, but their Hunger Games parody is one of the few movies I hated so much even I turned it off halfway through.  At that point it felt like they produced the whole thing out of spite for their critics because they knew there was no future in it anyway.

The fact most of the actors were basically forced to take part due to contractual obligations with the studio kinda sucks.

They were not "the creative geniuses behind Scary Movie"; that honor goes to the Wayans.

The first time I actually heard about this movie at all was because of Munk Media, a YouTube channel that does some fan made stuff based on Alvin and the Chipmunks.

The Spill review for this movie is a masterpiece

Me after this movie killed their careers: Justice is served!!!

I can respect Firedberg & Seltzer's decision to make low brow comedy movies, but when you have a flick like this that's over stuffed with cheap, shallow references to what was current on a short amount of time, then its just going blow up in your face.

this is the only movie i ever walked out on in theaters... i was like 13 and my whole friend group thought it was too dumb to finish, they refused to give us our money back and we didnt even have the heart to argue.

there is another reason for the death of the 'Movie Movies', aka 'spoof movies' and 'parody movies'. And that was the rise of the internet (mainly YouTube) since at this point onile content creation became a viable source of income, along side with improved production, hollywood in general didn't stood a chance against the unrestrained  creativity (with was early youtube) and massive content produciong of some guys in there basement/room/backyard
