The Dyatlov Pass Incident: Evidence They Couldn't Explain

On the first of February, 1959, nine experienced hikers pitched a tent on an open slope in the northern Ural Mountains. Within hours all nine were dead, and the tent had been cut open from the inside.

For sixty years, the Dyatlov Pass incident attracted every explanation except an ordinary one — weapons tests, espionage, infrasound, things in the sky.

In 2021, two engineers published a study that accounts for almost all of it. This video takes every major theory seriously, tests each one against the physical evidence, and then explains what the snow was actually doing that night.

⚠️ Nine real people died in this incident and their families are still alive. This video contains no photographs of the deceased and no reconstruction of their deaths.

A NOTE ON THE VISUALS
The photographs of the group, the trek, the tent and the search are genuine 1959 archival images — most taken by the hikers themselves in the days before they died. Sequences showing the night of February 1st, which no camera recorded, are AI-generated reconstructions based on the survey data and written accounts. The two are deliberately graded differently so you can tell them apart.

If there's an incident you'd like to see covered in a future video, let me know in the comments.
