Alright, alright, alright....
I wanted to break up some monotony on the range with a twist on a couple drills, and the @snipershide 21 Dot Drill came to mind.
This drill was created a while ago by a couple dudes I regard as mentors in the precision rifle world, Jacob Bynum of Rifle's Only and Frank Gali of Sniper's Hide. It's designed to be shot on a 1 MOA sized dot on a paper target at 100 yards. Those dudes designed it well because to shoot it at the upper echelon of scores you've gotta have your processes on lock - Fundamentals and Rifle Manipulation. It's a drill that highlights any gaps in your game.
With their permission I've incorporated it into my training curriculum because of it's effectiveness. So! instead of shooting it on paper, I decided to do it on steel at a mid-range distance. I had a no-wind day on the range so I wanted to try this out, and I'm glad I did. It was fun, and as per, showed me some of my own areas of deficiencies as I'm learning a new rifle platform.
I'll do another video on this in a bit - you'll see a smaller target because I wanna see where I'm at, and I'm determined to shoot this one clean...

I'd strongly recommend you take a stab at this next time you're looking for some mix-up in your training program. That's what we did at the Modern Day Rifleman Advantage program this last month. We've been focusing hard on building process the first month of the year with our daily dry-fire assignments. We just recently established our own individual time standards and now we'll be building towards taking our first quarter skills inventory at the end of March.
