Monkey World is on high alert after a rare and critically endangered woolly monkey gives birth, only for the newborn to end up clinging to its father instead of its mother. With the infant’s life at risk, the team must act quickly to safely sedate the parents and swap the baby back. Back at the chimpanzee enclosure, the veterinary team performs an urgent operation on Athena to treat a painful eye ulcer that threatens her sight. Plus, watch the brilliant Capuchin monkeys use their problem-solving skills on complex puzzle feeders, and witness the emotional arrival of two new woolly monkeys from Switzerland to help grow the sanctuary’s vital breeding program.

Monkey Life follows the work of Monkey World Ape Rescue Centre with nail-biting rescue and rehabilitation stories. Whilst there are primates in need, Dr. Alison Cronin, Jeremy Keeling and their dedicated team continue to fight the illegal trade in primates and give those rescued a safe haven for the rest of their lives.
